I only knew him as the guy who sold me cigarettes at the corner shop. However, he was a brilliantly nice guy and I just cannot believe he has been murdered....
ozleicester Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 It is horible and i feel for the loved ones left behind. however, without wishing to be rude/uncaring etc.. but i did laugh when i read the topic title... "Murder... in general chat" it was "Professor Webbo" in "General Chat" with the "Delete tool" sorry.... RIP
Knightonian Posted 19 June 2012 Author Posted 19 June 2012 Whoose to say I don't have a sense of humour oZ my boy.... It could have been Captain Sharponel in the music area with Mattp's Thatcher ghost....
Knightonian Posted 19 June 2012 Author Posted 19 June 2012 However, the person in the original artical I did know. Who was murdered, so I'd like a little more respect for the dead. (Not wanting to be a bore) but I did know the guy in the article....
MooseBreath Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I was once wanted in connection with a murder. Someone had murdered a homeless man near to where I lived at the time and CCTV had shown a very drunk man walking in the area at the time. The drunk man was me, the murderer wasn't. He was later caught, but not before I had to sit through a good few hours of questioning after turning myself in. Wasn't much fun.
SystonFox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 i used to go school with a lad who was brutally murdered. it was the one in relation to all the Manhunt video games and all the stuff that ensued afterwards. utter madness. RIP SSP

I am Rod Hull Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 "Six boys – one aged 15, one 13 and four aged 14 – and a girl aged 14 were arrested as part of the initial investigation into the assault and have since been released on police bail." Jesus H.....
glenny_fox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I use to be quite good mates at one point with stefan, and it was horrible hearing and reading about his murder when it happened. RIP SSP
Soar Fox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I use to be quite good mates at one point with stefan, and it was horrible hearing and reading about his murder when it happened. RIP SSP I used to play football with the brother who killed that lad. He changed his name as he didn't want to be associated with him.
rico Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 i've been questioned for murders twice and actually spent a night in Charles Street nick for one of them!
Tom17LCFC Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I used to play football with the brother who killed that lad. He changed his name as he didn't want to be associated with him. My older sister used to be really good mates with him as well. He was a top lad I thought, felt sorry for him. EDIT: I'm on about the lad's brother.
Webbo Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 A distant relative of mind, who I'd never actually met but has the same uncommon surname as me, was involved in a murder a few years ago. I used to to get a few funny looks from some people, and people who'd normally avoid my wife used to go out of their way to talk to her to try and get some gossip. Everyone assumed it was one of my sisters. The BBC and ITV rang and asked if I'd any comments after the trial. I'd never even heard of this girl until the trial started.
SystonFox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 My older sister used to be really good mates with him as well. He was a top lad I thought, felt sorry for him. Excuse me? You feel sorry for the lad who murdered Stefan or the lad who's had to change his name? I'd think very carefully about your reply it it's the first one

SystonFox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 His brother, the lad who's had to change his name. I should have been a bit clearer with what I said. Yes it almost looked like you were defending a sicko murderer and I was about to flip off the rails but I re read what you put and tried to adjust to it. It is so sad in any case that one persons actions can change so many lives in so many ways and your example is another point to prove that
Daggers Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I used to to get a few funny looks Is the only part of your post I find surprising.
Webbo Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 Is the only part of your post I find surprising. The wife insists I wear a ski mask when i go out now.
Leicester_Numan Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 I didn't know the guy but I live fairly close to where it happened. Many a time i've walked down there on my own late at night. The whole Gypsy Lane/Checketts Road area is getting pretty bad for assaults and muggings.
Zingari Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 i've been questioned for murders twice and actually spent a night in Charles Street nick for one of them! Jeez , that must have been a pretty nasty couple of experiences !! I got questioned once about a robbery because a car I'd scrapped had been used in the crime . That was bad enough !! Fook knows if they used it as a getaway, because it was a right old bag o' nails (Vauxhall Victor )
