New kit to be released at open training session...

So essentially, people who go to buy it at 8am will have it 3 hours before its "official" release/unveiling.

Oh Leicester lol

What's the problem? They just want people to buy the kit. It's a marketing ploy.

I never said there was a problem. :S

Basically, it's unveiled and goes on sale on the same day. (July 21st)

Pretty transparent really, we'll unveil the new kit at an open training session and, oh - the shop's right next door, why don't you pop in and buy it? They get a load of money in the till and they get a stand full of people watching the training session, probably half of them in the new kit to give them some decent publicity shots and stuff. I would've thought it'll definitely boost sales and it'll give something back to the fans with the open session - everyone's a winner. Shrewd!

I realise what the club is doing, just found it amusing that you could get the shirt before the release.

I never said I had a problem with it, I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with it. :)

As posted above, its simply clever marketing from the club.

You get it boxed and have to promise not to open it until after it's unveiled.

Wouldn't suprise me if some of our fans fell for that

Its bollocks. We must be the only club not to have atleast revealed our new shirt. I mean 10 days? Any normal club would have released it by now to ensure high sales before the season starts. But no, not Leicester City. GRRR

I wonder if the higher-ups think people will be more likely to buy the new kit if they have to wait longer than anyone else to see it.

I tweeted back for him to do the same for the shorts, at least we could find out if they were blue or white
