RyanLCFC18 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 If you could have one player from past or present in our current Leicester team who would it be? from any team doesnt have to be a former Leicester player
beemeroo Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Ryan McGivern to deflect the scapegoating away from our current crop of players.
eye666 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 If you could have one player from past or present in our current Leicester team who would it be? Take your pick from the MON days for me... but as the sort of player I'd like to see in the current team, Neil Lennon in the midfield. Obviously Muzzy would be amazing, Matty E and/or Walshy to get some goals from the back, a young Emile tearing defences apart... I could go on and on.
Leicester_Numan Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 If you could have one player from past or present in our current Leicester team who would it be? Someone to stick away all the chances we're creating, so, Gary Lineker, no one better

Guest Col city fan Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Neil Lennon Pound for pound the most influential (not the best) player I've seen in a City team. He was the engine that drove the rest of the MON team. I've suggested that DD could become a similar player for City for seasons to come. This 'midfield dynamo' is crucial to any success IMO.
Nick Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 I'll go with Messi - good as Lennon was and everything...........
Jace Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Theo Zakorakis would be epic in this current Leicester team
Mack Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Zidane if we are talking ANY player. He would knit together our side and provide the drive we need from midfield (If he did'nt end up dropped and training with U21's ) If we are talking Leicester then the one and only Lineker.
BrumFox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 HUUUUUUUMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE (for the pashuuuuunnn)
goose2010 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Stephen Clemence - Made a mint for doing nothing at leicester, has an extremely attractive misses and a decent career to look back on whilst sitting in his box at the KP
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Someone to stick away all the chances we're creating, so, Gary Lineker, no one better This, guaranteed goals! Guaranteed never to get sent off. And as a bonus he'd probably iron Walkers transfers over all the KP kit logos pre-match

absolutelegend Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 what we're lackng most is somebody with a bit of ability in the middle of the park, so has to be Muz for me
davieG Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Lineker only scored goals! spent the rest of the time ambling around the goal area, he'd get slated today for ducking out of headers as well.
cc_star Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Ex city? Lineker/Cottee to slot the chances away Walsh/Elliott/Taggart at the back Muzzy/Lennon for best midfield Guppy for those pinpoint crosses Think I'd say Collymore though, no... Walshie Tough one, dunno...

Bayfox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 I know it says one player, but I'm going to list a few with my reasons why. Any Current Player in the World: Messi, this kid really is the greatest, he beats players, scores goals, at times can be very unselfish, you won't see another like him. Any Past Player in the World: Torn between Juninho or Fat Ronaldo, Juninho had the ability to just drift past players, opening up space, wonderful to watch, but Ronaldo when full fit, maybe even half fit just scored goals for fun, this is the player that hardly played for 18 months for Inter yet top scored at the world cup off the back of just a handful of games before hand. Ronaldo may just edge it. Any Past Leicester Player: I know the merits of Lineker, Flowers, Walsh, Lennon etc etc, but for Me it would be Muzzy, again he just had the ability to shift the ball from one foot to the other and go past a player, not lighting quick put just able to open up is body avoid a tackle drift past a player and create a chance or chip in with a few himself. All 3 and promotions should be no problem.
MPH Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Theo Zakorakis would be epic in this current Leicester team He was crap when he was at leicester
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Pontus Kaamark was also fantastic. I used to love watching him play. Very rarely gave the ball away and was a really composed full back.
Leicester_Numan Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 which striker would you play him along side? Ideally, i'd go back in time for another player, a young Emile Heskey. But out of today's squad and it's style of play, i'd play him alongside Nugent
