Ashley Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 How many penalties has he saved? Brighton W 1-0 HOME Coventry W 2-0 HOME Norwich W 2-1 AWAY These are the only ones that spring to mind at the minute but I think there are more?
ealingfox Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Might be 5 or 6 by now, dont know if you can count Norwich seeing as the rebound went in.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Might be 5 or 6 by now, dont know if you can count Norwich seeing as the rebound went in. Of course you can, he saved the penalty, and our back 5 didn't react quick enough to stop Hoolahan burying the rebound.
NewburyFox Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 http://www.transferm...eler_16911.html That includes Maynard's for Bristol City last season, which he smashed against the crossbar.
ealingfox Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Did he save the initial penalty? Well yes, but they still scored from the penalty situation. I'll give him a half-mark for it then.
Leicester_Numan Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 He'll never be as good as Paul Cooper. Best penalty saver i've ever seen
Les-TA-Jon Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 So according to the link he's faced 8 pens total whilst at leicester and saved 6 of them. Pretty awesome. Love me some Kaspar.
Ashley Posted 24 October 2012 Author Posted 24 October 2012 Thank you for the responses. Much appreciated.
chili_con_carne Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 If only he was keeper when we had that penalty shoot out in Wales.

Haydos Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Well yes, but they still scored from the penalty situation. I'll give him a half-mark for it then. What? he literally saved the penalty. Did he save it? Yes.
chili_con_carne Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 We should really be looking to get him signed up on a long term contract. only year and a half left. and nugent aswell.
ealingfox Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 What? he literally saved the penalty. Did he save it? Yes. Sorry, i still don't feel like it counts. A complete penalty save should mean that there is no rebound to score from at all.
Dan Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Sorry, 6 out of 8 penalties he's faced haven't resulted in a goal? That's an absolutely remarkable record.
Corky Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 That can't be right. McGugan, Fryatt, Whittingham and a Burton player have all scored penalties against him.
Kitchandro Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Sorry, i still don't feel like it counts. A complete penalty save should mean that there is no rebound to score from at all. Do me a favour. It counts.
ADK Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 According to the football league website we conceded 10(!) penalties in the league last season. We also conceded 1 in the FA cup against Norwich. So far we've conceded 1 in the league cup and 1 in the league this season. That makes 13 in total that i believe Kasper has had to face.
StanSP Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 Sorry, i still don't feel like it counts. A complete penalty save should mean that there is no rebound to score from at all. Get a grip. A penalty SAVE has stopped it from going in the goal FROM THE PENALTY. Norwich player took a penalty. Kasper SAVED it. It didn't go in. The rebound is a whole different kettle of fish.

It didn't go in. The rebound is a whole different kettle of fish. What's the difference though? The opposition has still scored as a result of the penalty, so the penalty save wasn't completed was it?
Corky Posted 24 October 2012 Posted 24 October 2012 He did save the penalty. If a free-kick is saved and the rebound scored, they don't claim the free-kick was scored do they?
