Guest Col city fan Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 Don't forget... clocks go back tonight. + An extra hour in bed - Long, dark nights Snow on the east coast!!! Brrrrrrrr
AoWW Posted 27 October 2012 Author Posted 27 October 2012 Snow on the east coast!!! Brrrrrrrr Don't I know it - we've a nice combination of hail, sleet and high winds at the moment. The neighbouring village has no electricity as a fallen tree has brought down power lines - if that happens here I'm going to be properly pissed off.
lavrentis Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 Anyone else happy for the extra hour not the 1 more hour sleep but for another hour in the day to be productive as there aren't enough hours in the day as it is !!
Daggers Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 i sometimes wish i could put them back to 1972 A crap Labour government, winter of discontent, Jimmy Savile and then years of abject misery under the Tory witch? I'll happily re-live '90-'05

I'll happily re-live '90-'05 '95-'01 were the best years IMO. 9/11 and now the global recession has made this a far more cynical era.
Daggers Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 I think I got Subbuteo 5 a side table top football that christmas. City v Forest (well blue against red). I got a World Cup, three tier box, edition off eBay a while back. Apparently all World Cup teams in the 70s played in blue or red.

Daggers Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 talking from experience there then? It's what makes a marriage happy seeing as I spend a life in denial dreaming of soda-masochistic homosex.

Rincewind Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 If I go bed now it will be the earliest I've been for age. Need the kip though. Doesn't feel like a hour earlier.
ithuriel Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Is happy, even though i can suffer from depression long dark evenings strangely do not bother me to much. Will enjoy the extra hour in the land of nod.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Sucks to be on the night shift on this night. Going from a 12 hour to a 13 hour shift. My bed is calling!
Jon the Hat Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 3 year olds don't understand 'one hour extra sleep'! They certainly don't. Her being up until ten for fireworks didn't make any difference either!!
Zingari Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 That extra hour gave me time to reset all the clocks ,watches, oven, phones, car, microwave and everything else with a clock attached to the new time
sphericalfox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 That extra hour gave me time to reset all the clocks ,watches, oven, phones, car, microwave and everything else with a clock attached to the new time I never changed my clocks back in Spring, thus saving myself the time, however like others my 3yr old doesn't quite appreciate the need for sleep-in
