Couldnt get through Countesthorpe last night, Not sure if it was floods but Cosby Road was backed up to the A426. Looks like more heavy rain this afternoon/evening. Head for the hills! Lawn looks nice tho.

FrankieADZ Posted 22 November 2012 Posted 22 November 2012 I bet we'll have a drought next summer as well
ithuriel Posted 22 November 2012 Posted 22 November 2012 Water industry would love everyone to have water meters so i guess even if England were to flood we'd get drought warnings
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 November 2012 Posted 22 November 2012 The canal has burst its banks too. The walkway was flooded about 200m from the KP when I walked past it half an hour ago.
AyewJoking Posted 22 November 2012 Posted 22 November 2012 I bet we'll have a drought next summer as well oh are we getting a summer next year?
Parafox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 LM "Nine drivers have been rescued by firefighters in Leicestershire in seven separate incidents after their vehicles became stranded in flood waters. Today a man was rescued by firefighters using an inflatable sled after becoming marooned 100m into flood waters on Syston Road, Cossington. Another man waded through a knee-deep flood to safety after his car became stuck in water which came up to the doors of his vehicle on Sileby Lane, Mountsorrel. Another vehicle became stranded in Braunstone Lane East, Leicester, which had to be closed by police" At what point do you realise you're a twat? Surely anyone with common sense would look at the water across the road and where it came up to and think, maybe I shouldn't risk it.
purpleronnie Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Bit of a change from the last couple of days, not a cloud in the sky.

And worse than that they needed emergency services to help them in water up to their knee. Grow a pair Britain.
BunkMoreland Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Because it's easy to measure the depth of a body of water from looking at it from above? Even easier when travelling in a car I assume.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Can I just point out... nor any a drop to drink. NOR dammit!
Guest Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Because it's easy to measure the depth of a body of water from looking at it from above? Even easier when travelling in a car I assume. It is if you are standing in it or your car has just driven through it.
BunkMoreland Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 It is if you are standing in it or your car has just driven through it. Bit late then though isn't it
stix Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 And worse than that they needed emergency services to help them in water up to their knee. Grow a pair Britain. Not to get themselves out of the water. Re-read the article.
