ealingfox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 A procession for Redknapp? Or will they consider anyone else? Could they not have announced Harry today so he can take charge for tomorrow?
ealingfox Posted 23 November 2012 Author Posted 23 November 2012 Daily Mail reporting Redknapp has already taken the job. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2237190/Mark-Hughes-sacked-QPR-Harry-Redknapp-manager-match-Manchester-United.html
Captain... Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 I'm shocked they sacked Hughes... Sorry, I mean, I find it really funny, they showed last season they had ambitions of becoming tin-pot Chelsea, I really wanted them to be relegated last season, as much as I dislike Warnock he was doing a decent job there last season, they were about 14/15th when they sacked him, now they are rooted to the bottom of the table. Feel sorry for any poor bugger stupid enough to take this job, my betting is a management team of Sven with David Beckham in a player coach role.
marko Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Apparently 'Arry "I ain't a fackin' wheeler dealer" Redknapp has already been appointed and will take charge following the United game! Edit: Sorry just seen Ealingfox's article on Redknapp.
Simo86 Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 A procession for Redknapp? Or will they consider anyone else? Could they not have announced Harry today so he can take charge for tomorrow? Leicesterpool will not be happy that you beat him to this poll!
marko Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Leicesterpool will not be happy that you beat him to this poll! He's gone to beat his love stick to that picture of Jess Ennis to console himself.
Simo86 Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 He's gone to beat his love stick to that picture of Jess Ennis to console himself. I doubt he'll need a picture, he's probably in a bush outside her house
marko Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 who cares ? i couldnt give a toss about QPR This thread is probably not for you then, pal!
Kitchandro Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 I still think they'll go down. Yes they've got some decent players but quite a few are actually overrated. As a team I don't think there are 3 worse than them. They are a smaller Chelsea, they got a bit of money and all of a sudden their 7,000 fans started making out they were huge. Fernandes looks a bit of a prat after all this 'stability!' bollocks. Why do people in his position keep doing that?

The players they have bought are decent but mainly individuals
Corky Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 As much support as the chairman offered, the longer they were going without a win made it inevitable.
Captain... Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 As much support as the chairman offered, the longer they were going without a win made it inevitable. It is sad that that seems to be the only solution, I think the transfer market has had an impact on that, the loan window has shut, can't buy any new players, another month without win and they would be bottom at xmas and we all know what that means. The only thing they can change at the moment is the manager, giving the new man a month to assess the squad before bringing in some new players, the new manager bounce should get them a few extra points in December. I do think the transfer window has done a lot of harm to English football, would love to revert back to the old days.

Only thing you can do. Sadly the manager is the only one who can realistically go, you can't sack the worst players or bad influences.
Mack Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 The timing of this sacking tells you they have been lining someone else up behind the scenes. Got to be cash no receipt Redknapp.
kingfox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Surprised Hughes didn't get sacked on Monday, has done a terrible job there, it's not like Tony Fernandes didn't give him a chance to prove himself, had enough time and still couldn't get a win. For me it's one of those cases a bit like us last season, buy so many players they don't gel and it backfires. QPR have made some terrible signings, Park, Julio Cesar, Granero and Hoilett are the only good players they have brought in. Nelsen can be decent but he is far too old, Andy Johnson is out for the season, Bosingwa and Fabio are poor, Mbia is overrated and Diakite likes to get sent off every week. Put them with the likes of Ferdinand, Clint Hill and Armand Traore in defence it's no wonder they are struggling.
whoareyaaa Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 I think the reason he has been sacked today is because they possibily heard that Harry was flying out to discuss the Ukraine job. Hughes has been terrible though since he's arrived.

Hughes has been terrible though since he's arrived. Redknapp's agent has done some top work by saying he's interested in the Ukraine job. Basically gave Fernandes that little kick up the backside to give Hughes the boot!

notnow john Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Must be something in the air in West London. Martin Jol concerned.
AKCJ Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Why does Harry Redknapp have to go to QPR? I enjoyed hating them.
