Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Who's going to be our best and most influential player this coming season? Weso would be in there, but some **** put a stop to that
Shum Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 I'm going for Williams, thought he was immense last night and showed what he is all about.
Hitesh Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Hughes. He will be the creative force in the middle. Influential player that will enable the strikers and wingers to do their job!
EmLeee Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 based on last nght - Sylla with his silky skills but also our defence is key - - so maybe McCarthy, Gerrbrand and Johannson too but i voted Momo
Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2005 Author Posted 20 July 2005 I'm going for Williams, thought he was immense last night and showed what he is all about. 141072 I'm going to have to agree with you again Shum! Williams was class last night and i've always rated the lad, I hope he can find that 5th gear of his more often as technically he's exceptional for this league. I have gone for Sylla though because he's an unknown commodity and opposition won't know how to handle him this season.

Agreed on a couple of things today now!!
Durnerz Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Johansson, the mans got genuine class and will be consistant, plus has the premiership experience and will help players around him. Williams i'm not sure on at the moment, if he can find the consistancy he will be the most influencial.
Simon Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 The defense will need a big season as we're going to need that strong back bone if, as it seems, we're not going to exactly be free scoring. At the heart of every defense is the keeper, therefore it'll have to be Rab Douglas
john_lcfc Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 i went sylla but its a team game and i find it hard to pick a key player
hinds12 Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 based on last nght - Sylla with his silky skills but also our defence is key - - so maybe McCarthy, Gerrbrand and Johannson too but i voted Momo 141075 i agree that on last nights performance sylla is going to be awesome. it is good to see us have an out and out winger who can run and take on defenders
LoneWolf Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 i voted for williams, hes had 1 year already at leicester and knows what we are all about, he has potential and i think we will see the best of him this season
Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2005 Author Posted 20 July 2005 Deep Freeze... 141131 Vote for him then! Press YES
Knighton Matt Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Has to be Connolly...you can keep as many clean sheets as you like but if you don't have to someone to put the ball in the back of the net on a regualr basis you're going nowhere fast in my opinion and Connolly is the prime candidate for us, therefore HE is the key man.

Anish Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 Hughes, technically great, has a good engine and can pull the strings in midfield.

Bert Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 i voted Hughes, but every player will play key part for us this season IMO
Hitesh Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 i voted Hughes, but every player will play key part for us this season IMO 141245 And its how they gel together that will be the key!
Thracian Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 i voted for williams, hes had 1 year already at leicester and knows what we are all about, he has potential and i think we will see the best of him this season 141123 I agree with that but believe Hughes will be most important. If he can steer clear of injury and pull the strings then others should benefit.
Ricey Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 I watched the whole match earlier today and Sylla looked quality, one of those players who will create something out of nothing. I think he will be key next season if we can keep his confidence high.
Scow Posted 20 July 2005 Posted 20 July 2005 If I were dividing key men in to positional categories, then I would go for the following... Defence - Johansson Midfield - Hughes Attack - Connolly
lookwhaticando Posted 21 July 2005 Posted 21 July 2005 Sylla +1 He looks promising, the kind of guy to open up defences to let the strikers have a go. I think Williams will also be important - it's all happening in the midfield this year
