Zingari Posted 7 October 2013 Posted 7 October 2013 if you haven't got an on-line account, checking the raffle is a flippin nightmare. We spent about 20 minutes on the phone explaining and helping the mother in law check hers Think they've shot themselves in the foot with that one. The "plus 5" was a good un, i don't know why they dropped it.

Karljohn Posted 8 October 2013 Posted 8 October 2013 I believe the odds of getting 3 numbers are 63/1 which means they are actually fleecing us out of 103 quid on a 2 quid stake.
Zingari Posted 8 October 2013 Posted 8 October 2013 I believe the odds of getting 3 numbers are 63/1 which means they are actually fleecing us out of 103 quid on a 2 quid stake. Surely though, if they paid out at those odds there'd be no money left for the jackpot prizes , or have i misunderstood?
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 I believe the odds of getting 3 numbers are 63/1 which means they are actually fleecing us out of 103 quid on a 2 quid stake. your not just putting £2 on 3 numbers though, your putting your stake on getting either 3,4,5,6 &6+bonus ball.
Filbert_Ross Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 well this increase is working out well, on Wednesday 4 numbers paid £10 less than 3 numbers. the two jackpot winners got mere £370k each 5+bonus paid £8k pfft 5 paid a life changing £100 4 paid £15 3 paid £25

If our syndicate was one of the winning 2 tickets, looking at £46k each for the jackpot. I'd actually be furious with that, considering what you'd normally get Let alone the £15 insult for getting 4
Beliall Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 How the hell did they work that out? How can 3 pay more than 4
Fox92 Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 It's not worth it. Which is why I don't play it, and never will. You get better odds playing Irish Lottery.
Alexikokopops Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 How the hell did they work that out? How can 3 pay more than 4It's a guaranteed £25 for three numbers and because all numbers were below 31 (meaning a lot more numbers relating to birthdays) there was a massive increase in people getting 3 numbers (219k compared to 113k the Wednesday before). They all got their guaranteed £25 first meaning £5.5 million of the prize fund went there (compared to £2.8 million the week before) and so there was **** all to allocate to the rest Hence the ridiculous jackpot and comical 4 number prize.
Vacamion Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I'll still play. I consider it to be my 'make a wish' tax. I just want to stand corrected. I hardly ever play now. Webbo's post after mine is the reason - you can kind of justify chucking away £4 a week, but £8 was taking the piss.
Rincewind Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 If you get four dont you get paid the three as well? Been a long time since I played.

In terms of increasing your odds if winning big, its best to wait until the EuroMillions rollovers 6/7 times, the smaller prizes get bigger and even the second prize down from the top can sometime bag a million or two.
