Langston Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Said this before - he has this 'Houdini' reputation, but recently all he seems to do is throw obscene amounts of cash that the smaller clubs he's bossed can't sustain, and crosses his fingers. Makes him look a tidy manager for a second but completely ruins the club in the long term. Dread to think what state QPR will be in once he's done with them, they're up the creek if they don't stay up this season.
Guesty Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Even if they stay up this year just imagine if they go down next year. They have people on long-term contracts that are unsustainable in the championship and someone like Samba ain't gonna leave when he's on 100k pw. What worries me is if they are successful, clubs (foriegn chairman) are going to start copying and you'll have all the relegation teams throwing money out and everyone that goes down will be ****ed.
Bayfox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 I know its only rumours but even harry said qpr have players on more than the 75k a week spurs paid during his time there. Both keepers are alledged to be on 60k boswinger is on 70k and id imagine tarrabt, cisse and swp all coin in more than 40k a piece remember swp has been at cash rich chelsea and city. I bet he gets a big wedge each week. Plus they have one on the biggest squads in the league so if you wack 30odd pros on 10k each minimum. Relegation equals pompey mk2
Guest BlueBrett Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Wouldn't mind so much if he hadn't made such a show about the previous administration wasting money and paying over the top wages when he first took over. Didn't used to mind him but he is making himself look like a right dick at the moment. Any idiot could run a football club if they have free reign just to throw money around willynilly
Guest shearfox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 This is the start of QPR heading the same direction as Porsmouth, not anywhere a big enough club to sustain this kind of spending. Not Harry's fault Clough would do the same...
21st Century Fox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Apparently Samba doesn't even have a wage reduction clause in his contract in the event of relegation! Madness.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Samba looks a right fat b******. Probably eating well I know I would be on 100,000 a week.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Nice game for Samba to prove his force tomorrow against Grant Holt.
cc_star Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Nice game for Samba to prove his force tomorrow against Grant Holt. Gonna be a few weeks before he's fit apparently, don't know if he's on winter break or what... but he was talking about not being ready out his car window yesterday. Makes the signing to replace someone like Nelson even more bizarre.
