Its like how we beat Spain and then won the Euros

oh wait . . . .

We did better than what I thought, very negative though, we have been more positive of late which is good.

Looking at the penalty replay it should have been retaken. Johnson was massively encroaching. Not that I'm complaining

Very harsh peno anyway to be fair very soft.

What is the actual handball rule. Everyone bangs on about intent but is that actually in there? I'm asking because I have no idea! It seems an ambiguous rule that could do with some clarification.

surely it has to be based on intent? If not then how can be deemed as foul play? Not sure on the official definition though

I've wondered this. It can't just be about intent because if a player accidentally blocks a ball on the line because their arm is in the way it'll be a penalty all day long.

Quality finish. And hit the bar. Looks pretty good eh.

Good finish but both were gifts.

I think ultimately the ref has to make the decision based on the context rather tan a specific law

Half the time penalties are given because a player has (stupidly) left their hand out there - they're not intentionally going for the ball like Suarez against Ghana. You can still have foul play when there's not intent - a player is clearly going for the ball but accidentally mistimes it and just catches the opposition. There's no intent to take out the player, it's not dangerous, but it's still a foul.

I dunno, it just seems the handball rule is a bit of a grey area
