Guest shearfox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Oscar by far Brazil's best player, been a constant threat.
Guest shearfox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Enjoyed that Best England game I have watched in a long time, we actually played football which was nice.
Webbo Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Good win, thoroughly deserved.Awaits someone to say that Brazil weren't trying.
Unabomber Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Enjoyed that game, the formation was spot on from Roy.
Fox in the North Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Lampard come to Leicester next year, you know it makes sense.....
ozleicester Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Great result, and Rooney again... hes almost reached the yakubu status... he only scores goals
DB11 Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Good result etc etc but if that was in the World Cup the difference is that Brazil would have upped the tempo and played at 300 times the pace, IMO.
Ric Flair Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Wilshere, Walcott, Rooney and Lampard were superb last night. Frank is in his best form for several years and it's good to still have him around. It's all about the 2 from Arsenal though. If Wilshere and Walcott progress like they're potential suggests then we could start to build a spine of talent. Our central defence needs massive work, that's where we've been strong for well over a decade but we need to find a partnership or two and work on it. I rate Cahill but he needs someone experienced alongside him.

Cahill could partner one of Ferninand/Terry by time one of them or both retires, Cahill should be experienced enough and can mentor Smalling.
Uncle Albert Posted 7 February 2013 Author Posted 7 February 2013 Glen Johnson is so overrated. I think hes shite compared to Kyle Walker. Your opinion on Football and England became irrelevant when you put Daniel Sturridge in the your team for last night when he wasn't even the squad through injury.. Then to say Glen Johnson is overrated? . He's been England's best full back in the country this year, playing RB or LB. Take your small brain back to Tottenham's home game to Chelsea earlier in the season, he was absolutely hideous and hasn't been great all season. Oh yeah he's quick though.. Anyway back to the game last night, I thought England were fantastic! I don't want to get carried away but I've not seen England play that well in a long long time. Shame Cahill had a daft moment but still there are so many more positives than negatives which usually isn't the case with England. Rooney, Gerrard, Smalling and the Arsenal two were stand outs for me and Lampard when he came on. Just wish Wilshire was fit for Euro 2012, would of made such a difference. If England are going to do anything at the next World Cup and that's not me saying we're going to win it either, I mean put in stand out performances against the better teams and progress to the Quarters/Semi-Finals then I think it will be down to three players Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshire. Signs are good.
AyewJoking Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Well, now we've beaten Spain and Brazil we should all go on strike if we dont win the world cup.
AyewJoking Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Thought Smalling had an excellent game in second half. Kept Fred in his pocket. Cahill could partner one of Ferninand/Terry by time one of them or both retires, Cahill should be experienced enough and can mentor Smalling. Thought Terry had already retired from England and wouldnt expect Rio to play again given his exclusion from the Euro's.
Langston Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Milner is USELESS! Harsh. I'd love to see him play a more central role for England, actually think he's better technically than Cleverley. Rooney was quality last night but I'd love to see someone else at the point of the attack with Rooney just behind, think he's so much more effective when "facing play" as he does for United.
kingfox Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Good result last night, but I have never seen such a piss poor Brazil side, they were average and I wasn't impressed with them, Neymar the next big thing, he was rubbish and so was Ronaldinho. Brazil best player by far was Oscar, the rest were very average. From an England point of view, first half I was very impressed with Gary Cahill, he was my Man of the Match, until the point of his awful error. He is a great defender, and I think he will be our main defender at the World Cup, Smalling wasn't too bad either but that heavy pass back to Hart was horrendous. You could also tell Leighton Baines is better than Ashley Cole at this moment in time, Cole wasn't that good and got beat quite a few times, while Baines had a consistent second half. Was impressed with Wilshere and Rooney, while I would of liked it if England got Walcott on the ball more often, as he looked dangerous. I agree with some of you as well, never been impressed with Glen Johnson much, doesn't do enough down the right side for my liking, gives possession away far too easily, while James Milner is shit and always has been shit everytime he has played for England, might be playing well for Man City, but for England he has looked poor everytime he has played.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Calls in the paper for a recall for Rio after Cahill's mistake Please don't do it Roy.
Langston Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 James Milner is shit and always has been shit everytime he has played for England, might be playing well for Man City, but for England he has looked poor everytime he has played. He isn't shit, he's just not a winger.
Uncle Albert Posted 7 February 2013 Author Posted 7 February 2013 I can't believe a lot of people's views on Glen Johnson.
