Pearson under pressure

I'm a massive Pearson supporter, I think he's done wonders in a year to transform us from a mess under Sven to a team that looked one of the best in the division for two-thirds of the season. Sacking him is the wrong thing to do; morally (if that even comes into it), in terms of it being a quick-fix solution attempt... but I must admit that nagging feeling of 'what if' in terms of someone coming in and lifting them to get us over the line. Could go completely the other way in the sense that this is a Pearson team.

I think a mixture of lack of strength in depth (failure to enough business in January, Pearson's fault? Possibly not) and a lack of confidence is absolutely potent at the minute.

We've massively overspent. Got some extremely high wages on the books.

Pearson no doubt brought in as many as he could & had to loan some out to be able to do it

I'm in favour of Pearson staying & the solid performance Vs Cardiff gave me hope he can get the players playing to get us back on track...

but this performance today. wow

Pearson would probably want himself out based on today's performance - of course in the context of our form.

Indefensible.

wonders my arse the bloke as no idea and as lost the confidence of players and fans. would it be worth getting rid know and employ someone who would hopefully do what davies as done at forest, or just wait till the end of season and give him his p45 then

Pearson sure as hell better be under pressure. It's becoming more and more evident with each game that the exciting attacking football we played earlier in the season was an anomaly. I really do think Pearson has coached every ounce of flair and attacking intent out of very single player we have.

And for all Pearson's rhetoric about the squad being better than it was when he returned, I actually think he means cheaper. Still full of shit players, they just don't cost as much each week!

This is just so shit. It has been this shit since mid-January. We're playing like a bottom of the table side.

Not good enough, very poor really

Fall out the play-offs, he is gone.

But he might even be gone on Monday.

Morale is fooked, the players look mentally and physically drained.

Regardless of whether we hang on in the play off places and somehow get promoted, Pearson is a goner. They surely have seen enough to confirm we would be battered in the top flight under him.

I'm assuming you had that stance at the end of January then?

Of course it's all as easy as "what Davies has done at Forest"

Pearson tonight looked like a very angry/worried man.

Some points:

1. How can a player who looked as good as Wood did, now look so bad?

2. Harry Kane... Why Nige?

3. The last ten minutes of that match showed how desperate we are.

4. I'm not really bothered where we are in the league, just watching that was embarassing.

5. Those who claimed that it was 'knee-jerk' to start questioning.. Take a look at yourselves.

6. Direby are shit.. Losing to our rivals like that isn't acceptable.

7. Oh dear....

I do think the owners might pull the trigger now. It's got to the point where you can't see us turning it around, and we look odds on to drop out of the play offs. Pearson hasn't got much going for him at the moment.

He lost me as a fan of him after the leeds game with his reaction to the fans. For me this was his last game and he blew it, we've not played well for a while and nothing has changed... hes got to go for me!
