Matt Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 CCFC Academy have been refused entry to their training facilities. Academy ousted over unpaid rent bill.£14K Owed. According to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner this morning, Coventry City's Academy have been ousted from their Alan Higgs Centre home due to an unpaid bill of £14k. The bill is understood to be £2k in rent and £12k for repair and maintence of equipment and although there has been no cash forthcoming from whichever company is running the Sky Blues, an email has been sent regarding some of the issues. Chairman of the Alan Higgs Centre which is a seperate company to the Higgs Trust, Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “At long last they have made a reply. “They don’t answer the core issues between us. However, it’s a start and where we can start is with the money they can put up to repair the equipment that is in their care. “We’ll get started talking to them and they can tell us what they are going to do about repairing the equipment. There’s £12,000 of work needed to be done on the equipment they’ve been using. “Let them show good faith by paying what needs to be paid and then we can get on with it. If they are not prepared to pay what needs to be paid then it’s not going to go much further."
Jace Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 Looks like Coventry have finally sorted out their stadium location issues

SystonFox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 My garden's available at a very reasonable rate. Can it fit 17 fans in?
Jimothy Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 My garden's available at a very reasonable rate. That's no good, it's capacity is too big.
wurmer Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 My garden's available at a very reasonable rate. Would you really let that lot on your lawn??
Guest Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 Would you really let that lot on your lawn?? It'd make it very handy for pointing and laughing at em. Oh and throwing things, definitely increased ease of throwing things at em.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 Would you really let that lot on your lawn?? Manure is good for the grass isn't it? The local farms around my village are convinced of this little fact.
bluesbrothers Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 They really are going to end up playing at Hinckley, aren't they?
Jimothy Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 They really are going to end up playing at Hinckley, aren't they? In a couple of years for away games, yes.
Matt Posted 29 June 2013 Posted 29 June 2013 CCFC's entire fan base protests... A group of about 100 Coventry City fans have protested outside the Ricoh Arena to keep the club in the city. The Sky Blue Trust is urging fans not to buy shirts or merchandise until it is confirmed the team will play its home games at the stadium next season. It said although the team had been offered the chance to play there "rent-free" the situation was still unclear. Administrators confirmed on Friday the League One club had been sold to the Otium Entertainment Group. Otium is owned by Sisu, the company that currently operates the club. Trust spokesman Moz Baker said: "The clock's ticking all the time. There are no season tickets being sold - people need to know where we're playing and that should be in Coventry. "We have a perfectly good, purpose-built stadium here which we should be playing at. The trust also erected a makeshift statue to Joy Seppala, who is the head of Sisu. Mr Baker said: "That idea was based on [chief executive] Tim Fisher's recent suggestion that there should be a statue of Joy Seppala outside the ground because of the £45m she has put into the club. "It was just a light-hearted look at the situation which people are very upset about." Coventry City Football Club was unavailable for comment. Getting messy, they've gotta pull their fingers out and sort themselves out soon. And our fans are worried, thinking our club are leaving things late, moaning nothing is happening. (I'm not justifying what we are doing, but tbh I don't need to, not alot happens till July with any club, why should this year be any different) - Atleast we know who owns us, where we'll be playing and that we will be playing next season.
Father Ted Posted 30 June 2013 Posted 30 June 2013 No money but they erect a statue of the leader of Sisu. The woman who killed CCFC, we salute you.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Coventry City to play at Northampton Town for next three years. http://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/coventry-city-to-play-home-games-at-northampton-town-for-next-three-years-1-5245614 Also confirmed by what appears a very reputable source on Twitter. https://twitter.com/Lesreidpolitics Easy to laugh but I genuinely feel for them.
