stevelcfc Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Just been placed into administration by their owners SISU. It was only going to be a matter of time for them, its a sad thing for football and don't like to see it happen but they laughed at us a few years back, now its our turn.
jonthefox Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 They'll have to sell all their assets now. dont wish this on any team, no matter who it is. Very true, but theres history with those muppets.
Tom17LCFC Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Not overly fond of them but I feel for them. This was us a few years ago. Hope they get it sorted.
stevelcfc Posted 21 March 2013 Author Posted 21 March 2013 dont wish this on any team, no matter who it is. Sad for football, but funny because its Cov. I'm sure they laughed at us a few years ago when it happened to us.

Happy Fox Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Who the f**k are Coventry City don't they play in League one?
brockmyster Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GOOD
David Guiza Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I go Uni in Cov for my sins, and there is literally no sign that the city even has a football team. I've spoke to people who used to support them in the Highfield Road days and just have literally no interest anymore. Granted they were never a big club, but how they've gone from a comfortable Premier League/Top end Division 1 to this is quite astonishing.
davieG Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I wouldn't laugh too loud it's not an impossible scenario for us to revisit administration.
Swiss_tony Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 we've been through it. i wouldn't wish it on anybody. except pimpey.
1884Fox Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 It was only a matter of time. Everyone knew this was gonna happen sooner or later, but I honestly hope they get it sorted. I don't care who they are, I wouldn't with this upon any team. It's a horrible, dark time for loads of clubs nowadays
Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I find it very difficult to laugh at any other set of fans who see their club go into administration, especially given how hellish those few months in 2002 were for us. The fact that some Coventry fans are or were knobs doesn't bother me; there are still plenty of fans, stewards, shopworkers and a local community who depend on the continued existence of Coventry City Football Club whose club and livelihoods might be at stake. I for one don't find it funny and will not be sinking to the level that some Coventry and Pompey fans sank to when we were there.

Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Meanwhile, at Finners' house... Good gif that, but I do find it strange that we're laughing at Coventry for going into administration because they laughed at Leicester for going into administration. Still though, funny gif.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I'm not laughing entirely because they laughed at us, although what goes around comes around. I'm just laughing because it's Cov and I can't ****ing stand them. Not in some sort of heated rivalry, big neighbour derby sort of way. More in that way that I can't stand greasy little chavs on busses speaking at ten thousand decibels and trying to intimidate everyone for street cred. Cov won't go under for ever, it's a big enough town that there'll always be football there for those that want it, it's just that they're going to collapse and then rise again to find their level, as Wimbledon have done. Wimble in the fourth tier is about right and if Cov can't muster up even half the Ricoh's capacity then, eh, they probably deserve to go the same way.
Dan Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Don't like Cov but I dislike like them less than I dislike scummy owners. Sad to hear this really.
steveherbe Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Before we all start celebrating, BBC report as follows: Coventry City Football Club Holdings says a non-operating subsidiary of the club has been put into administration. A spokesman for the club said: "It is important to stress that the football club itself is not under threat." The Coventry spokesman added: "This is merely a property subsidiary which owns no material assets and has no employees, on or off the pitch. "The club can confirm that all staff wages, PAYE and all other creditor commitments will continue to be met as before by Coventry City Football Club Holdings. "Unlike other instances of clubs being taken either wholly or partially into administration, there are no HMRC or VAT implications and the football club will continue to trade as normal without interruption. So it's not the club itself, but a property owning sub-part?? What, like an Estate Agent? Cheating buggers!!

I tend to either ignore or pity greasy little chavs on the bus. I would however laugh my cock off if one of them fell down the stairs and/or got punched in the face as they stepped off the bus though. I stand by what I said when they went down last season, we'll be a Premiership club before Coventry are a Championship club again.
Harry - LCFC Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I really don'y like them but I don't want this to happen to them. In all honesty I was disappointed when they were relegated, I wanted to play them this season.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I would however laugh my cock off if one of them fell down the stairs and/or got punched in the face as they stepped off the bus though. But that's basically what's happened. It's not like the chav's been murdered on the back seat by a Nazi paedophile rapist. (thisposterisnotrepresentingtheviewsofFoxesTalkorevenimplyingthattheaboveimageisanazipaedophilerapist.) (.... he does look like one though.)
Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I really don'y like them but I don't want this to happen to them. In all honesty I was disappointed when they were relegated, I wanted to play them this season. Why? It's the shittest excuse for a derby I'm aware of.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 But that's basically what's happened. It's not like the chav's been murdered on the back seat by a Nazi paedophile rapist. HOLY SHIT. That will give me another ten minutes half an hour bout of impotence when I'm on the job next time.
