Deucalion Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 On local radio they are reporting that Coventry are going to finish the season at the Bescot Stadium. Nothing in the written media about this though.
Matt Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 On local radio they are reporting that Coventry are going to finish the season at the Bescot Stadium. Nothing in the written media about this though. Walsall issued a statement claiming they knew nothing about this last night according to local media. I don't think anyone knows quite what is going on, including CCFC Officials.

I don't think anyone knows quite what is going on, including CCFC Officials. Oh right. Free Radio (Black Country) reported on this this morning. Bad research on their part if Walsall have already said it's not true.
Matt Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 No Ground Share At The Bescot According to Free Radio's Darryl Murphy, Walsall FC have said they are unaware of any contact with Coventry City regarding a groundshare of the Bescot Stadium. West Midlands Police have also said that they were told by City on Friday that the three remaining home games would be played at the Ricoh Arena. http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/walsall_unaware_of_contact_with_city_over_groundshare_788843/index.shtml http://www.bescotbanter.net/2013/03/walsall-to-host-coventry-city-confusion.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+BescotBanter+%28BescotBanter.net+-+An+independent+look+at+Walsall+Football+Club%29
Deucalion Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 "Coventry have brought over their staff and are going to use the Bescot Stadium for the next three games." My source is my wife. Just asked her what she heard this morning to check I hadn't gotten it wrong and she heard the same as me. So very strange with Walsall denying it.

Well from what i've heard the staff have been relocated to Coventry's training ground at Ryton, which CCFC also don't own, I believe that belongs to the council too. As far as I can see the only assets CCFC have are the staff, playing staff and stock from the shop, nothing else. As I said earlier I don't think anyone knows what is going on, including CCFC themselves.

demon_dog Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 In the High court today. It turns out that Coventry are £60 million in debt. It was also stated that the club are effectively in administration, clarification of this needed though, the High Court will rule on this in the next six weeks. The league have yet to make a decision as to whether to deduct 10 points. It seems like they will however reach agreement to play the last 3 home games at the Ricoh.
Harry - LCFC Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Deducted ten points. http://www.football-league.co.uk/footballleaguenews/20130328/league-confirms-sky-blues-points-deduction_2293334_3124632
