Isle of Wight Fox 86 Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Just a note from the will we won't we get promotion this season but a fantastic result for them to be promoted yesterday after being 2nd bottom in October when Eddie Howe took over. And if we don't get promoted how many of us have been to Dean Court? Of course for me it's great if we go up I can go to Southampton and if not I get to go to Bournemouth

buzzy Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 went to dean court twice both in the 80s . the first was a 3 2 win to us we scored in the last minute to win it i think ali scored the winner the second i think we won but alan paris got sent off for taken to long to take a throw in
teblin Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Wonder if we will play them on Boxing Day? We did for 2 or 3 seasons in the late 80's earlier 90s
Dan Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 I've never even seen us play Bournemouth at home, let alone away. Very happy they're up as it'll be new everything for me personally.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Already been looking at train prices for this, looks like it's doable from the railway station I go from for about £25-28. Just got to hope it's on a weekend at a decent time of the year.

Quite proud of Bournemouth for making it up, I feel a slight affinity with them as I went to Uni there.
Fox92 Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Just thought - didn't we play them in a friendly in 03/04 under Adams? Sure it was Bouremouth away.
David Guiza Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Yeah i remember that; pretty sure Sir Les scored in the game.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 I was at Dean Court yesterday, had a great time! Great seat of fans and a tidy little stadium, got on the pitch as well at the end.
nealsimbo Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Been twice a good away day, think we lost both times though.
steveherbe Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 I was at Dean Court yesterday, had a great time! Great seat of fans and a tidy little stadium, got on the pitch as well at the end. Thought I told you to keep off the pitch - you could have got a ban Looking forward to a few beers with you and your mates before next seasons game at the 'part-built' stadium. They'd better get that end built before the mighty Foxes arrive, we'll need at least 10,000 for this one. Weekend in Bournemouth, and free entry to TOFS for all City fans - sounds like a deal!!
1964FOX Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Looking forward to a weekend away at Bournemouth especially if we Lose Brighton.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Hope Brentford come up, also. That would be decent. Doesn't Natalie Sawyer support brentford?
Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 A warning to all people going to this, we may only get 1000 tickets. My Pompey supporting mate said they only got around 1200.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Hope Brentford come up, also. That would be decent. I heard on the football league show last night that Brentford v Doncaster next Saturday pits the side with the most wins at home against the most wins away in league 1
Fox92 Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 Doesn't Natalie Sawyer support brentford? Yeah she does.
Loggy98 Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 I was at Dean Court yesterday, had a great time! Great seat of fans and a tidy little stadium, got on the pitch as well at the end. Same, got a season ticket their but nothing like seeing the foxes play!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 I've been watching Bournemouth as my 'second team' since 1970 when my best mate left Leicester for New Milton, so I get to see them 7/8 times a season. I was at the Villa game in 72 when they lost 1-2 with 48,000 in the ground, their first ever trip to Wembley when they lost 1-2 to Grimbsy in the what ever it was cup back then and at the Millennium Stadium in 2003 when they stuffed Lincoln 5-2 in the play off final. I even managed to be at Lincoln when they lost 0-9 in one of Harry Redknapp's first games in charge. Good little club that has been on a roller coaster ride for years. The current chairman is nuts but their Russian backer has a bob or two, so expect then to spend in the summer. They're hoping to put up a fourth stand during the close season which should increase the capacity to at least 12,000 (meaning more tickets for away fans). I've got a ticket for their final game at Tranmere next week, so hoping to see them win the league. It won't be divided loyalties next season though, as for me it will be Leicester all the way, but I do feel like one of their fans when I'm watching them as they're a good bunch. Up the Cherries in all departments! And yes, those Boxing Day defeats in 88-89 were very embarrassing.
South fox Posted 21 April 2013 Posted 21 April 2013 If we don't go up it will b nice to have a really local game with bournemouth, as I live in dorset, was there on 3aug 2003 when we drew 1-1 wen les Ferdinand score,
