Guest Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 Are you too posh for Clover? I'm not too posh for anything but I certainly don't eat clover - isn't that like lettuce?
sphericalfox Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 Is that too much information?? does he use butter or marge?
Wycombe Fox Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 The worst thing is when people use the butter after they have been spreading it on toast and it leaves bits of bread. That and jam. Thank you. This is one of my pet hates. The kids butter their toast and leave crumbs in the spread. Get a square of kitchen roll and wipe the knife. They have improved though. It got to the stage where I was buying my own spread and writing my name on the lid I've threatened to contaminate the spread with tuna especially for them.
sphericalfox Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 I'm not too posh for anything but I certainly don't eat clover - isn't that like lettuce? it's a brand of margarine, that purports to taste like butter
Guest Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 does he use butter or marge? We've all used Marge or been abused by her.
cambridgefox Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 Family we went away with at Xmas get all anal about how you take the butter out! Spread it out not make a hole.Guess what I was doing just to piss them off.

Haydos Posted 25 April 2013 Author Posted 25 April 2013 Man up and use real butter. I'm sure those two things are very contradictory
Saxondale Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 I don't have a set policy on this, I've experimented with both methods. A quick check of the fridge reveals my current low fat spread actually has a HALF-REMOVED foil protector. From memory this was not a deliberate strategy so much as a result of the foil lid's poor integrity.
FoxyPV Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 I'm sure those two things are very contradictory Feeling the burn isn't manly, just stupid
BoneDog Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 I peel the foil on my Flora halfway back and then when I've used up the top half layer (after a week or so) I take it off and bin it. Wouldn't have it any other way and it never flaps around. If the foil tears upon the first opening I'm livid and have to remove it completely, far too soon for my liking. Two knives are used when spreading so as to not infect the clean Flora with crumbs or tartar sauce. But of course, real butter will always remain King.
whoareyaaa Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 Every time I try to use butter it just rips holes straight through the bread, unbearable.
JonnyBoy Posted 25 April 2013 Posted 25 April 2013 Every time I try to use butter it just rips holes straight through the bread, unbearable. keep it in a cupboard, not the fridge
Tielemans63 Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Just seen the poll results - I'm a foil flapping freak
Zingari Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 I like to keep the flap moist so I can open it gently and then spread lovingly while holding on to a couple of nice round buns .
flowwolf Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Your all missing the point ALL tin foil MUST be place in green bags along with tins and plastic bottles. Throw it in the bin at your own risk.

Ah you've not read it properly . Tin foil "contaminated with food" should be disposed of in non recyclable bins .
foxfanazer Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 The one time I want to see a Kingfox post so I can do a "I can't believe it's not banter" joke Screw you Kingfox
flowwolf Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Ah you've not read it properly . Tin foil "contaminated with food" should be disposed of in non recyclable bins . Thanks Zing you have saved me from possible arrest and a lengthy jail term. God bless you.
DennisNedry Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Bin it, once opened it doesn't keep it any fresher so why bother keeping it?
Simo86 Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 My Mum always leaves it on, does my head in. It soon comes off when I come to use it though, right pain in the backside

Simo86 Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 I don't think that's where you're supposed to put it. I knew I was going wrong somewhere, thanks
