LanguedocFox Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 I came across the following statement by Uli Hoeness about season-ticket prices. Hoeness is President of Bayern Munich: the ones who just beat Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate.to reach the European Cup Final, and who are running away with the Bundesliga. Of course, it's only what any Premier League Chairman would say in similar circumstances, and what our own Board will doubtless say when if comes to setting 2013-14 season ticket prices. Goes without saying, doesn't it?

Guest MattP Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 http://www.spiegel.d...n-a-897474.html Give me a crook and cheap ticket prices over a crook and expensive ticket prices.
purpleronnie Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 echoed by dortmund to:- http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/87805-english-clubs-not-run-in-fans-interest-borussia-dortmund-chief-executive/ It won't happen here as its a freee market opposed to a democratic one. Of course if a large club is run the right way there isnt need for such high ticket prices but our fans are willing to pay it so....
James. Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Not sure all clubs would or could take such an apathetic attitude towards £2m...
MC Prussian Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Bayern and Hoeness can only make such statements because their club earns so much more money through marketing and TV as well as sponsorship deals. Their stadium is always sold out, there's a huge waiting list for season tickets. Of course, in their position, they're easily able to afford neglecting those £2m. Bayern may not milk their fans via ticket prices, but in other ways...

Guest MattP Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Not sure all clubs would or could take such an apathetic attitude towards £2m... We certainly have over the last few years.
AKCJ Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Not sure all clubs would or could take such an apathetic attitude towards £2m... 2m for 70k attendances.
Samilktray Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Someone should probably just start a German football thread.
