Pork Traces Found In Halal Lamb Burgers

Only in Leicester? Really? Not the rest of the UK? or Romania? or Ireland? It's only us that would have the gall to put something in people's food that for whatever reason, they might not want to eat.

Yeah i don't understand that either. Think you'll find it's not just a Leicester problem. Not a big fan of Halal meat anyway.

Wonder if you still get your virgins if you eat it by mistake?

lol They must be running out of virgins in heaven soon. You can't be giving everyone 72 untouched honeypots and expect to have enough supply to meet demand forever.

I bought two Halal birthday cakes the other day.  I'm not sure what makes a cake Halal or otherwise, but they looked great and tasted even better so I'm not complaining

It's because it had pork in it.

Maybe they don't mean virgin women only

Halal simply means 'humane' or 'lawful'. You can kill an animal but as long as it's done humanely and that the animal did not suffer, so to speak, then that's what classes it as halal.

It's a bit of an odd concept, I'll admit!

I know! It must be a real concern for them.  Especially if Moosey gets his way and is allowed to go around deflowering 13 year olds

I've frequently advocated putting meat in cakes, which is yet to catch on, and there certainly weren't any bits of spicy beef in these.  Someone here reckons it might be something to do with eggs.  Tricky to treat an egg humanely, I'd have thought

Only problem being is really not a very humane why of killing an animal at all so I have to admit I struggle with the concept.

Just don't call it a white egg. That's frowned upon.

I thought halal they turned them upside down cut their throat and let them bleed to death. I must of heard wrong

Bless the animal, stun then slit the throat and let the bleed to death is the typical procedure from what I'm aware.

Yep. Slitting the throat cuts the jugular and the windpipe and stops oxygen going to the brain and therefore the animal has very little time to feel the pain.

All sacrifices must be blessed in the name of God to be Halal, otherwise it is known to be 'haram' - harmful.

It's an extremly out dated religious technique that serves no purpose in modern society given there are now better methods of slaughtering animals.

What I want to know is how long before we're eating meat that hasn't actually been slaughtered at all! :@
