Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 I've wound people up all season with JET mate... Especially Kingfox.. But Kingfox isn't easy to wind up surely?
Corky Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Let's have it right.... Any squad with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas in it has gotta be a strong contender! He did help Ipswich finish in the top 14.
DB11 Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Just imagine how sweet it'll be when we finally do make it though. The god awful years of Levein and Kelly football, the relegation at Stoke, Kermorgant's penalty miss at Cardiff and the sixty seconds of horror at Watford will all be forgotten the instant the final whistle is blown on the game that promotes us. Either that or all the emotion will go into some pretty intense celebrations. If it happens away, I feel sorry for the town in which it happens. If it happens at home, wild horses won't keep me away from the nightclubs of Leicester on the evening we get promoted. It WILL happen. We're getting closer to that day. I predict next season at Hillsborough in front of 8,000 travelling Leicester fans. Really? Team's have been saying that for years. I can't see it, personally.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Took a good few ads to get over this, and it still hurts. My gaffer (AFC Wimbledon fan) put a load of Troy Deeney articles on my desk, and I think I surprised both of us with a fairly violent reaction. Still ignoring my Leedsscum supporting mate too who thinks the whole debacle was hilarious. Cvnt.

Any employee law would go out the window for me in that situation, discretion and professionalism would just turn into pure blood boiling and I'd hit the cvnt!

My Leeds mate brings it up at every opportunity at the moment, literally every jokey remark is "DEENEY!" No I do not want to discuss the game, stop bringing it up please.
Jaspa Posted 20 May 2013 Posted 20 May 2013 Let's have it right.... Any squad with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas in it has gotta be a strong contender! Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is a free agent btw, seems he hasnt impressed the Ipswich lot.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 May 2013 Posted 20 May 2013 Pretty much everyone i've spoke to who watched the match, Leicester fans, non-Leicester fans, people with no interest in Leicester, even people with no interest in football are all asking the same question though....Why the fuck did Knockeart take the penalty? Why the fuck was Knockeart allowed to take the penalty? I think alot of people could see us missing it, I could, I couldn't see them going up the other end and scoring but I could see and thought we'd miss as soon as I saw him step up. In was in a pub in St Ives with a few City fans and a roughly equal number of Watford fans screaming, "NOT THE FRENCHMAN! NOT THE FRENCHMAN!" I suspect that anyone who didn't know our club's history thought I was some kind of racist. It wasn't a penalty, so I didn't feel too bad immediately... extra-time would have been fair enough... until about 20 seconds later.
Ely fox Posted 20 May 2013 Posted 20 May 2013 This, it made me angry for days after. So much pressure to heap on a footballing child, regardless of how confidence he seems when he's doing flicks and tricks on the sideline when it doesn't matter. I'm trying to let go and move on, though, now. He took the penalty because clueless had not put a system in place for this eventuality, another example of poor management end of.

I've been debating with myself whether we deserve to be at Wembley or not. 1. It was never a penalty, so it shouldn't have resulted in a winning goal 2. But then we were screwed over in the first leg by awful decisions. We could have been 3 or more up with a decent ref 3. However, Watford have been the better team this season, which is why they finished third and got that advantage in the play offs. I'm still not sure
