Danno Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Apart from Walcott we are very short of quality on the wings.
Captain... Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Good article in Twentyfour7 magazine on Milner and him playing for England, have always thought he has been poor for England, but reading the article, actually made me think in a different light, and how important he can be sometimes. Good line up though, nice to see Carrick holding, and Sturridge starting, really think Sturridge can bring something to England now rather than later. Milner is a great player, but he was horribly misused by crapello, he seemed to employ him in a defensive role and pick him for his defensive capabilities, despite being high energy he can't tackle and often ended up getting booked early on. Play him in an attacking role and you will get the best out of him, his energy and back tracking is a bonus but you don't pick him to do that, you pick him to attack and score goals and create chances.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 May 2013 Author Posted 29 May 2013 Sad to say, i hope St Ledger as a poor game tonight
EnderbyFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 "Close to a sellout?" Really?! Empty seats everywhere
BlueSi13 Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Totally forgot this match was on. Hate these sort of matches anyway, it's a lose-lose for England. We win and everybody argues we should be thumping the Irish a lot harder, but if we lose it's complete humiliation.
Kitchandro Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I had a dream England won 5-1 and i was somehow congratulated with mastermining the win after some great tactical advice on twitter. Make of that what you will. I had a dream last night that it was the 2014 World Cup. In the second round we played a country I don't think actually exists, either way it was a minnow. Think between San Marino and Moldova in terms of stature. I got back late so had to watch the recording, somehow I got wind that we had lost 1-0 and sure enough we conceded in 2 minutes, so I stopped wathcing. I checked the score the next day and we'd actually lost 12-1. I looked at the Quarter-final line up and San Marino and Moldova were playing each other, and I was a bit shocked one of these nations would reach the semis.
Munshi Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Ledge looks up for this, want him to do well but want England to win 8-0, is that possible?
Leicesterpool Posted 29 May 2013 Author Posted 29 May 2013 My god the home fans at Wembley are awful, they need to play these type of fixtures at another venue. Wembley=No Atmosphere
purpleronnie Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Sounds a cracking line up tonight, Just heard they've gave Ireland a big allocation of tickets, why?! Trouble with wembley no atmosphere from the home fans! Just look around wembley.
Jimothy Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Ledge looks up for this, want him to do well but want England to win 8-0, is that possible? Yes, if O'Shea gives away 8 penalties.
Danizen Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Why is SSL miming the Irish National Anthem? He's from Birmingham. I'd love to see him belt out. GSTQ on his last appearance.

Wembley=No Atmosphere To be fair it's an end of season friendly against a small nation that we should beat relatively comfortably. What did you expect?
