Ross-Kemp Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Why would anyone decent want the England job ? Redknapp wasn't good enough and way too old. I did back Hodgson for the job, but i'm afraid i'm starting to change my mind. The next boss needs to be alot younger with bright new ideas, no matter of his nationality. Jurgen Klopp anyone? Why don't you do a poll ?
LCFC FOX Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 No he looks too much like Cora from Eastenders for my liking.

Guest MattP Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Does anybody think Roy Hodgson is the right man for England? He only took the job so he and Bernstein could tour the Jewish quarters of Poland at the Euro's and take the squad to Treblinka, I'm amazed he is still in the job now. Something must have gone wrong with whoever was taking over after.
purpleronnie Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I'll find it difficult to watch this one with loads of irish out singing us, puts me off.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Beckham and Neville dream team. It's got to a stage where I'd be happy with that. Be interesting to see what happens.

LCFC FOX Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Difference between Ireland and England is Ireland fans are 100% passionate who will sing for 90minutes and follow their country all over the word, where as England fans put their club before their country and international football doesn't interest them.

The Doctor Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 The queue for the deli counter in Bradford? Please - Bradford isn't classy enough to have a deli counter. It's like a post nuclear waste zone that people forgot about - but with a few good pubs.
ealingfox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Possibly my all-time favourite football punditry video. God, Roy Keane makes me laugh - has he ever done a post-match without absolutely slating somebody? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p7B7EDttEw
foxfanazer Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Daniel Sturridge vs St Ledger could be quite comical
kingfox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Daniel Sturridge vs St Ledger could be quite comical St Ledger tackles him cleanly, Ireland hit England on the counter, but the goalkeeper pulls off a great save which leads to a corner, which St Ledger then scores from. Very comical for England indeed.

What a load of bollocks. We don't follow our team all over the world? The England fans that go to watch England are just as passionate as the Ireland fans who go to watch Ireland.
Vacamion Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Can I predict "no score - abandoned due to crowd trouble after 24 minutes" ?
Corky Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Does anybody think Roy Hodgson is the right man for England? No better than Capello, who shouldn't have gone in my view. There are no outstanding English candidates, all similar, pretty average all told.
EnderbyFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Thank god we aren't starting with James Milner on the wing. Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Cole; Carrick, Lampard; Walcott, Rooney, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Sturridge.

Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Cole; Carrick, Lampard; Walcott, Rooney, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Sturridge. Sounds a cracking line up tonight, Just heard they've gave Ireland a big allocation of tickets, why?! Trouble with wembley no atmosphere from the home fans!
Leicesterpool Posted 29 May 2013 Author Posted 29 May 2013 Scottish referee. You're kidding! Let's hope he's a rangers fan
kingfox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Thank god we aren't starting with James Milner on the wing. Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Cole; Carrick, Lampard; Walcott, Rooney, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Sturridge. Good article in Twentyfour7 magazine on Milner and him playing for England, have always thought he has been poor for England, but reading the article, actually made me think in a different light, and how important he can be sometimes. Good line up though, nice to see Carrick holding, and Sturridge starting, really think Sturridge can bring something to England now rather than later.
Fox92 Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I really underrated Carrick... I sat and watched him towards the end of the season, and for a holding man, he always looks to play the ball forward.
MPH Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I had a dream England won 5-1 and i was somehow congratulated with mastermining the win after some great tactical advice on twitter. Make of that what you will.
