SmithyFox12 Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I highly doubt they'll be a return train at that time of night though?
separator Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Any chance of getting to this via Train? Just had a quick check about train times. You have to change at Birmingham, journey is about 1h 45. Last train leaves Leamington at 21.30 arrives back in Leicester 23.18. No idea how far the station is from the ground, if its a 7pm KO I guess its possible. Edit : Ground is 2/3 miles from the station, should have read BrakesPress post above first.

The big problem is, it takes around 20 minutes on bus to get from the ground the station, plus i remember when i last went there it kept stopping at every bus stop on the route, plus got caught up in the footy traffic, Its impossible to walk from the ground to the station as it's 3 miles out of town and there's no paths.

Was it the Stagecoach bus you used, that stops outside the ground? That was another method I had forgotten about that was mentioned to me today. Our minibus is run by the supporters trust, so will leave pretty much straight after the game. Our location isn't great in terms of getting to and from the town unfortunately, but the acquisition of the minibus, which we also use for away trips, has helped.
BrakesPress Posted 9 July 2013 Author Posted 9 July 2013 Just seen your squad list for Friday, I probably hadn't better post it here, but the only names that aren't on it are Kaspar Schmeichel and Paul Konchesky, so it's definitely not an 'XI', as some of our supporters are convinced it will be.

Can guarantee you Nugent won't be on it.
MikeyT Posted 9 July 2013 Posted 9 July 2013 Stringer said they're hoping it will be on the radio for all those like me that can't make it to the game.
BrakesPress Posted 9 July 2013 Author Posted 9 July 2013 Can guarantee you Nugent won't be on it. His name is down but it is not a 100% confirmed list so I guess there will probably be changes.

Langley Posted 9 July 2013 Posted 9 July 2013 Going to this. Post Office conference in Hinkley (WINNER), So paid travel up here and back & booked Friday off work. #winning.
Leicester_Numan Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 His name is down but it is not a 100% confirmed list so I guess there will probably be changes. We're not sure if Kasper & St Ledger are back with the squad yet, they were given extra time off, Nugent has a calf injury and Konchesky wasn't "at full tilt" in training so I assume he's had a bit of a niggle. Everyone else is fit and available at this point
BrakesPress Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 For any locally based Leicester fans who want to make use of Supporters Trust minibus, details of pick ups can be found here: http://brakestrust.com/?p=2751 Depending on how many of you are coming down parking may be tight, so it's best to arrive as early as you can.
CosbehFox Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 How big is the car-park and is there any overflow? Aiming to be there for 6.30 p.m. and a little worried that there will be nowhere to park.
BrakesPress Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 The car park is fairly large, we put cars on the training pitch if we need to, I would think you'll be ok if you're arriving at 6.30. There's no alternative parking at all unfortunately as we are on a busy country lane in the sticks!

BrakesPress Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 Yeah, Jacob Blyth told our keeper on Twitter than Kaspar wasn't playing - he was gutted!
LCFC FOX Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 Whats the ground like? is it like Hinckley with a few seats?

BrakesPress Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 Whats the ground like? is it like Hinckley with a few seats? Errrrrrrrrrrr........................no. Hinckley's is a bit better, but ours wasn't built with lots of disposable cash from the sale of another ground!
