BrakesPress Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I don't know how many of you are planning on going to the game next Friday but I thought I'd post a bit of information to help anyone thinking of travelling. Our ground isn't actually in Leamington, it's easier to get to it from the Fosse Way, so if you're coming from Leicester itself you could follow the Fosse from Narborough Road, etc, or take the M69, A46 around Coventry, left onto the A45 once you reach Tolbar Island then left onto the A423 towards Southam/Banbury. Follow for a few miles until you reach Princethorpe, then turn right onto the Fosse Way. Continue for several miles, crossing the A425 roundabout signposted Leamington/Southam, pass under a railway bridge and you will eventually come to a crossroads for Harbury/Leamington/Warwick. Turn right here and you will come to the ground entrance on the right after several hundred yards. Admission Prices will be Adults: £10 Concessions: £6 Under 16's: £2 Under 12's: Free Hope to see some of you there. The New Windmill Ground is a decent place to watch football, if sometimes a little chilly due to its location . A good chance to see your boys at closer quarters than you would normally do, and a first look at any new signings.

BrakesPress Posted 2 July 2013 Author Posted 2 July 2013 I genuinely don't know whether you've signed anyone or not, sorry! You might have by next Friday, you never know!
LcFc_Smiv Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I genuinely don't know whether you've signed anyone or not, sorry! You might have by next Friday, you never know! We have posters on the forum who are going in to meltdown due to our lack of transfer activity so far, we like to take situations to the extreme on these boards.

HoustonFox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Can't believe I can't make this as I'm originally from Leam. Glad to see them doing well and should be a fun game if people go. Just down the M69 and A46 for those who are going.
Deucalion Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 It's not that far for me. Might go on my bike. Anywhere to park a motorbike safely near the ground?
BrakesPress Posted 4 July 2013 Author Posted 4 July 2013 You should be able to park it pretty much where you like in the car park. One of my fellow Brakes fans sometimes uses his and parks it near the main gate, but personally I would put it a bit further into the car park. There will be stewards out there who will point you in the right direction, anyway.

BrakesPress Posted 4 July 2013 Author Posted 4 July 2013 Ooer, now you're asking! It's CV33 9QB, you can't go wrong if you approach from the Fosse Way. You can see the floodlights on your right just before you get to the crossroads.
BrakesPress Posted 5 July 2013 Author Posted 5 July 2013 I'm fairly sure Smack is still open, but I've never heard of Dukes! I'll ask on our forum and find out for you. I've never really been out in Leamington much, moved away when I was 6.
BrakesPress Posted 5 July 2013 Author Posted 5 July 2013 Are Smack nightclub and Dukes still open? I asked the question, it seems the answer is yes! http://banter.cv31.co.uk/showthread.php?13979-Dukes
BrakesPress Posted 6 July 2013 Author Posted 6 July 2013 Any chance of getting to this via Train? Our supporters Trust runs a minibus around Leamington and Warwick before home games, and does a pick up outside the station, which is around 2-3 miles from our ground. Details can be found here: http://brakestrust.com/?p=2751
