Got MK promoted through the play-offs. Managed to get them all the way through to the Quarters of the FA Cup too :o

I always seem to find my midfield being overrun if I'm playing a 2 in the middle. And when another team is only playing 2 there I get good results playing a 4-2-3-1. I guess the nature of the tactic keeps them pegged back but if you're against a good passing side don't they just dominate in the midfield?

Yeah occassionally they do get overrun but I always use the control strategy so once the ball has been won, they don't give it away and they're quite controlled with the ball too. If I'm chasing the game, bump the strategy up to Attacking and I'm guaranteed to score because of the already attacking nature of the formation. Usually when I'm winning and preserving a lead, I go back to control or go to Counter if the team starts attacking lots.

I don't need to, As I said this is not my tactic, I just tested it when the game came out for the maker, and have never looked back...

 

 

No RB or LB so you can get rid of konch! I then trained ritchie as a RM to compete with knocks

Since I tested it, Zero (The maker) has brought out 2 more versions, so choose which one you want really, there are versions with 4 at the back, 

 

I've not tested them so I am now tempted to!

It has got to that point where I'm fed up, ffs, can't buy a win... What happened last year in real life is happening on my game. Sitting in 2nd position at the end of December, the new year comes along and my form drops. Haven't won in 5 games now; just lost 3-2 away at Bournemouth despite hitting the post twice and having two cleared off the line.

it does seem to be incredibly hard to change your luck in this. in 13 I had a bad run, switched to a new formation and won the next game. on this its impossible.

i left jomo cosmos, never really forgave them for tying my hands and was sick of not winning. northampton came in for me after a string of other turned down applications, and i finally decided to go. i like northampton anyway as i was born there.

Won my first three at Fiorentina, absolutely dominated all three and then turned shit. Too many players at these are inconsistent. Giuseppe Rossi is absolutely woeful.

Managed to drag City up first season winning the Championship with 2 games to go. Bought half the Barcelona B team in Planas, Espinoza and Gomez. All worth the pittance I paid for them along with Boyata and Gueye from Man City and Everton. Managed to flog the deadwood for a tasty 7m total and only spent 1m as I was worried about FFP and how much I'd need to spend in the Prem.

 

Struggled in the Prem both in the league and the transfer market. Did flog a LB I bought for 85k from Castilla to Liverpool for 7.5m a year later. Smutsy Redknapp strikes again. Main outlay being on Fierro as always, Sergi Darder (quality) and Agustin Allione - all three being worth the money so far.

 

Hovering above the relegation zone with a few games left to go. Next year should see me straight with the kids team I've got improving with every game. Got Gaston Gil Romero and Stefano Denswil on the way for nowt in the summer too. Both look the nuts.

 

Only City players left hanging about are Kasper, Moore, King, Knockaert and Wood.

A good idea I've read if you're having a bad spell is to arrange friendlies with crap sides which guarantee a win so you can boost your morale and try and carry it into the next game, not tried it myself but worth a shot if you need it.

Dan, thanks for the Tin Jedvaj shout. Just who I needed but a bit pricey!

 

Other cheaper options early on are Doria (6m first season) or Eder Alvarez Balanta (2.5m in 3rd season). Missed out on both of them and am fuming.

 

Stayed up in the last game or so and finished 17th, Overhauled the squad this year as I was finally able to pick up players I wanted to boost the squad. Was lucky with player sales. Got 5m each for Jason Holt and Magaye Gueye. Even though I wanted to keep him Boyata wentto Chelski for 20m which is silly money I couldn't not accept.

 

Bought in Mephis Depay, Kerim Frei, Paulo Debala and Terence Kongolo ready for the first team. Getting 10m plus bids for Chris Wood who has been outstanding so far this game. Still got Kasper in goal for another season at least.

Also end of the first season make sure you sign Vitinho on a free. He's just gone to Dortmund for 18m at the start of the 3rd season. Pissed I missed out on him.

is there any way of making the team learn the tactics any quicker, the team seem painfully slow at picking them up
training is at very high intensity doing tactics and match prep is on tactics only, and im now at the first game of the season 
and the team have only learned bearly 25 percent of each tactic

play games with the tactics, the one they play the most they learn quicker, worst thing is, after 10 months of training, they go on holiday at the end of the season and forget all their knowledge of the formations
