Haydos Posted 8 January 2014 Posted 8 January 2014 Had to get rid of star man Gomez, he wouldn't accept a new contract, I just couldn't afford it and it turns out he had a £15m release clause anyway so he's off to Bayern in the Summer and I really need to find a replacement I have started to bring in some youthies though, got a couple of potential stars here. And of course, Pedro Hernandez who is coming on a beaut... Anyone else hit any sick regens yet?

He was 15 year old striker who had huge, long blonde hair and a terribly ugly face. Wish I'd screenshotted it, looked like he was from an awful rock band. I've downloaded a regen face pack so there's more variety in features and shiz.

Potential world star.... cost me £9,000,000 at 17 years old, But I didnt realise that there was a clause saying he couldnt joing me until he was 18, then was being sent on an 18 month loan back to his club!! I didnt get him back until he was 19.5 almost 20... His potential had dropped to 3 stars, and he was absolutely dog sh1te!

'(£75k)', and yet I'm £45k a week under my wage budget, yet my board won't let me adjust? Stopped me getting Balmont for a year, he'd have been a decent addition.

Shelling out £2.5m a year for him though, he better at least become good enough to give me a return on my money. Blergh.

NewburyFox Posted 9 January 2014 Posted 9 January 2014 Finished 13th in my second season in the Championship as Wrexham, scored 98 goals (I was desperate to get to 100 but lost my final game 2-0 ) however I conceded 88 so I think you can see where the problem is! My best CB left on a free at the end of the season, I wanted to keep him but I just couldn't afford it. In hindsight I maybe should've sold him in January for £400,000 but we were in with a shout of the play-offs then and I would've only seen like half of that. As you can guess, strengthening the defence is the priority this summer. I've sorted the RB position with an Iranian regen on a free, who now becomes the clubs best paid player in their history on like £9k pw! A couple of CBs, a strong CM and that will be my done for the summer. Arsenal keep bidding the same amount for my keeper. He's a "good PL player" with a release clause of £3m but for some reason they repeatedly bid £1.3m plus a friendly. Either bid £3m or leave me alone! Wish I could play this more often ATM, damn uni assignments

Any other conditions? start with 5 countries in 5 continents too I went with south africa, mexico, south korea, brazil, and england. something in the new update is making it hard to get a job though. nov 2013 I finally got hired at paragominas. after starting the game in dec 2012. good luck to you. I always have trouble getting deep into this game but this challenge changed that.

What do you do in terms of playable leagues? Usually I load all the big countries but how do you go about getting jobs in other countries with this?
Dan Posted 9 January 2014 Posted 9 January 2014 Surely it's just a case of making the other leagues playable when you're done in Africa or whatever? Get rid of the Egyptian and South African leagues, and introduce the Korean/Iranian etc... (not sure how many Asian leagues are playable, I wish J-League was). I may try this again one day but there's no way I'm starting in Europe again where I'll end up at a club who considered a striker with 3 for finishing as a 'key player'. Would be tempted to start in Africa, get myself into Europe (preferably in League One or something), work my way up there and build up the top reputation by winning the 'Champions' League there. Surely it's a case of once you've got the most prestigious one, you'll start to win them all? If I had the European one to my name I'm pretty sure I'd be rated enough to manage the top side in any other continent.

Fox92 Posted 9 January 2014 Posted 9 January 2014 Finally promoted in my third season. Smashed the league, played 43 (so it's not over yet) and scored 101 goals, conceding 45. Signing of Ings did it, he's scored 26 so far. My contract runs out at the end of the season. Just asked the board for a new one and they said no. Bit suprised, I'll be angry if they get rid of me. Though I don't think that will happen.

Wes Morgan has scored 7 League goals in 11 games, just from putting corners into the 6 yard box and him challenging the keeper. Went out the Cup 2nd round which I was happy with, squad is thread bare as it is.
