Haydos Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 do you not bother setting individual instructions for each player? or do you wait and see what they do first and do it gradually, like if your center mid keep shooting wide, tell him to shoot less for example Yes and no for me. I want my players playing direct so I set a lot of them for direct passing. Wingers run with ball more etc.
cityfanlee23 Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 I am currently 13th with celtic, I just cannot get my players playing for me, And it's getting frustrating, I keep having Ideas of making another little save and joining another team, but then I do it, and delete the save after 3 days to return to celtic, only to get bored and want a new challenge again!! Enough is enough, 2016 and my hometown club Cambridge united are sat in 9th in the conference. Premiership 2020? 2 saves on the go: Celtic Cambridge
Beliall Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Yes and no for me. I want my players playing direct so I set a lot of them for direct passing. Wingers run with ball more etc. ok thanks, i had instructions set too, but different for every squad player, maybe that was the problem as with injuries and suspensions it was changing the tctics too much on a game to game basis.
RonnieTodger Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Started a Leicester file. Only signed David Bentley, but i'm top after 10 games. 8 Wins and 2 draws - Martyn Waghorn is class ! joint top scorer in the league and just won player of the month,
The Doctor Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Right - the board want me to play a defensive, direct style. How much does failure to play the boards way affect your job security, 'cause I do not play that way: Possession and attack is the way to go.

How much does failure to play the boards way affect your job security, 'cause I do not play that way: Possession and attack is the way to go. Not sure to be honest. Try changing your whatever-they're-called. Have a board meeting and say you want to be judged differently.
Beliall Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 theu won't let you chamge philosophy untill you're in their good books. id hope that keeping it solid at the back and scoring goals would be enough.
RonnieTodger Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Went up with Rangers to the Premiership. Looked good for an unbeaten season and just pissed about and lost a couple as soon as we wrapped it up. Annoying.
StanSP Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 I won the title by the way, on GD! Man City came second.
Dan Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Why the fvck would any owner have a defensive philosophy?
Stadt Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Why the fvck would any owner have a defensive philosophy? And a direct one?
Samilktray Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Will I be able to play this game on a MacBook if I install it to an external hd?
Dan Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 And a direct one? Direct is more understandable as it doesn't always necessarily mean hoofball, but defensive? That's insanity. How any owner could have a long-term plan of defensive football I'll never know.
morris1234 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I won the title by the way, on GD! Man City came second.Well done! What year are you in?
StanSP Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Has anyone ever created themselves on the game? I did for this game and scored 35 goals in 44 games in my latest season Well done! What year are you in? 2018. It's amazing how many players get released by the big clubs, or how much their value decreases once they hit 30.

It's amazing how many players get released by the big clubs, or how much their value decreases once they hit 30. Arjen robben and frank ribery are £5m the pair on my save... Year 2016 Santi cazorla 2.5m
The Doctor Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Not sure to be honest. Try changing your whatever-they're-called. Have a board meeting and say you want to be judged differently. Had a chat with them and they absolutely hated the idea of playing football. **** 'em, I'll play my way. Why the fvck would any owner have a defensive philosophy? Aye, I don't get it. I don't get asking for a direct style when the only striker on the books is 5'10"

I don't get asking for a direct style when the only striker on the books is 5'10" To be honest the owners will only care how you play if you are in a relegation battle or are not living up to expectations.... I used to get "the board are not happy with the lack of big name signings" But were "delighted" with me.. And had me as "untouchable" because we were top 6 when were expected mid table
StanSP Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Arjen robben and frank ribery are £5m the pair on my save... Year 2016 Santi cazorla 2.5m Wayne Rooney is worth about £4.5m. Still at Utd but still banging them in. But just because he's 31/32 value has shot down!
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Wayne Rooney is worth about £4.5m. Still at Utd but still banging them in. But just because he's 31/32 value has shot down! Problem for me, I took robben on loan, I knew if he played well his value would go up and it did... It went up to about 5m but id put a clause in where I could approach a future fee of around 2.5m... Which I did... Robben wanted 190k per week ... Soon told him to swing for it!!
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I got sacked from the Cambridge job I took as a "break" from Celtic.... (Going from 13th when I took over to 4th in 12 games isn't good enough????) 2016 and neill danns was a free.... Leicester had only released him in January 2016!! (He had played 7 games in league one that season,.. Leicester is only worth 8m for the whole club by then.. New owners had buggered it up!!) I approached him and he accepted 1.8k a week! gone from championship, to league 1, to skrill premier In 3 seasons... Not far off Luton standards that dannzy
