cityfanlee23 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 How do you quit a job? Click the drop down under your name at the top, actions... Resign
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 What I will say though... Is that if you are resigning because the job you have is not going so well... In the hope of getting a new one.. Think again.. I tried a Wycombe save when the game first came out... Came lower half of mid table, couldn't find a job for 2 years!! Then got offered a job in the Chinese league!!
Dan Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 To be fair, bottom half of League Two is hardly a glittering CV
The Horse's Mouth Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Got the Lyon job, wanted the Napoli job but I'm excited about the Lyon job. The team is actually really good, somehow they finished 9th so no European football so it might be hard to keep some of the top crop. hoping to eventually destroy PSG for taking my moment it's going to be tough, but I've got faith like.
Uncle Albert Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Quit Leicester, board wouldn't give any money and players all left on frees. Got the Birmingham job with a healthy £9.5million to spend.

Wouldn't count on destroying PSG or Monaco. Those two both under-achieve in my opinion. I think in the four years so far they've only really ran away with it once, and they ought to every time for how much they both spend.

Also have won the Champions league two times in a row.
GLC Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Kept Sunderland up and finished 11th, we won our last 6 games. Decided i'd apply for the Liverpool job and they've offered me 650k for my transfer budget i took the job anyway, as i can sell a few players

Dan Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I'm tempted to have a complete revamp this upcoming season. I could accept steady mediocrity in my first year up (well, Nantes' anyway) but if anything we've regressed. I suppose it's the catch of having a young side but I'm losing patience.
Fox92 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I went for Mattock as his contract was up in the summer and I wanted another left back. I was advised about signing this player due to "his relationship with the fans" (it wasn't worded like that, something along those lines though, I can't remember... I know disliked players are built in, I've seen it in previous editors, but I didn't expect the game to tell me about it! Thankfully I got a better left back.
StanSP Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 That's a problem in the game - sponsorship deals. EVERY season without fail around September time, I get a message saying there's a new sponsorship deal for about 6 years. Always about 3 different kinds which are renewed each year.

Personally I liked mattock, thought with training could of been a premiership player.. He was only young when he was with us, with little experience... With someone like Konchesky mentoring him, could be quality... Not sure if he is passed that potential now though!

As you get bigger you get more sponsorship. Teams like Man U have a ridiculous amount of little sponsorship deals.

I could accept steady mediocrity in my first year up (well, Nantes' anyway) but if anything we've regressed. I suppose it's the catch of having a young side but I'm losing patience. It's a difficult one... If you sign a young player with potential, you have to play them quite alot to capitalize on it, Unfortunately if you send them on loan they normally lose that potential to be a "Star player" and come back with 4 stars or something.. But if you do play them often, everytime you do, you have inexperience in the squad and they normally perform poorly until they start to raise their current ability... I play with 1 striker, so Its a nightmare for me to find one good enough to knock my first team striker off the perch, especially as a 17 year old wont fill the 25+ goal void he is replacing!
Beliall Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 in my jomo cosmos save i played the cup games with all my youth and reserve players, i was having a good game overall though and able to also replace my lone striker with a youngster with 20 mins to go per game.
GLC Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Board wanted me to bring in young players for the first team..... I offered Sturridge to clubs for 55Mil, As he was worth 34Mil and i was very surprised when Man City bid 45mil! EDIT: i thought i had 650k to start with, but that was the end of the season budget. they actually gave me 50mil

Nice signings there though! 2016 I got hughes for 7m he was at reading!

Man City and Man Utd kept increasing their bid he's had a good 2 seasons though, last season he had a rating of 7.69 you paid 15mil for the milky bar kid? I know, but he does turn in to a good player on this Edit: i have broken the rules a little bit though, I've signed David Luiz for 10mil as i need an experienced player at the back

I suppose it's quite realistic as a lot of managers are in that type of position themselves, especially in England where the top league has such a high demand that it stops us bringing more players through. I definitely think that contributes to England's under-achievement. I'm sticking by that lad I signed because he is going to be brilliant but I'm struggling to find a system that really suits him and everyone else. I've made a few cock-ups here so I'm tempted to sell about half my squad and take a completely new approach. I've come up with a counter attacking formation yet there's no AMC in there and I think I'd be wasting him by playing him anywhere else, as I soon found with Knockaert. I've found with quite a few youngsters they just completely click almost at random and they become your star man. Is Rogic any good? I've agreed to get him on a free. Looks a very tidy player.

Was quality for me in the CAM mid role, I don't think he's much of a hussle and bussle midfielder though, which Is why i gave him a more attacking role. Averaged in first season of 32 games 7.21 in his first season where his current ability was only 2* He's my main regret though as I did significantly bolster that position and he didnt get much game time, I sent him on loan and it ruined him for me... If trained right can be quality IMO What year are you in? -- With regard to the young players, I agree it's realistic, Frustrating but thats the fun... If high potential players could slot straight into the first team, you'd win everything within 3 seasons. I try to sign Liam moore wherever I go, The lads been a monster for me!
cityfanlee23 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 think i might sign him Hahaha Brilliant, I'll get him scouted tonight
