Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I read that as the Sun's 'Nonce-sense award'. It's even got a scary clown on it. Puns of the very highest quality are just an added bonus
Guest MattP Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 No idea what is worse. The fact he's got a Leicester hat from 1988 on or this is actually the front page of the Sun.
Leicester Lass Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I don't see how this even warrants a story. If he was whistling and singing outside my house at about 4:30 in the morning I wouldn't be overly pleased about it, I can't imagine many people would.
StanSP Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 'Part of British life'? What? Not with him on that one but bloody hell, stopped from whistling. What the hell has the world come to? Some people just love to make a mountain of a molehill and moan about anything and everything.
Fox92 Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 The Sun always take things too far by publishing a 'list of songs he could sing'.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 Everyone who works in a customer-facing environment go and stand in the middle of your work and whistle a jaunty tune. See how long before someone complains. Don't piss of your customers, it's not that difficult is it? He should stock a headphone in his ear and shut up moaning.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 What a miserable bunch we Brits have become. How bloody petty minded some people can be!
purpleronnie Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 What a miserable bunch we Brits have become. How bloody petty minded some people can be! That's rich coming from the most miserable person on here.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 That's rich coming from the most miserable person on here. You will have your little jokes.
johnny the fox Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 great,. ought to be sacked the whistling bastard..
separator Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 Could be worse... Pat Mustard, the randy milkman. My favourite episode of Father Ted
Vlad the Fox Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I've heard of townies moving to the country for the rural experience then complaining about church bells ringing and farmers muck spreading. What's worst is that people listen to them and take action, I used to like laying in bed listening to the milkman, postman, ect going about heir jobs early in the morning. Maybe if more people complain he isn't whistling anymore they will tell him to carry on, or do the miserable bastards always get their own way?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 The Sun always take things too far by publishing a 'list of songs he could sing'. They don't always do that. I think they refrained from doing it when they were covering the story about Jon Venables being released. I may as well just apologise now. Sorry
separator Posted 12 July 2013 Author Posted 12 July 2013 At least you don't get this at 4.30 in the morning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e1xvyTdBZI
Guest MattP Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 They don't always do that. I think they refrained from doing it when they were covering the story about Jon Venables being released. I may as well just apologise now. Sorry Englebert loved the publicity.
danny. Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I don't get the outrage here? If the guy is singing and making noise so loudly that it is waking people up, at 4:30am - then yea of course he should shut up! "He says only five people in the posher areas complained — and four of them were not even customers." Why does it matter if they were customers or not if they could hear him, and he was still waking them up and stopping them from sleeping properly?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 Englebert loved the publicity. As a small child, my brother would always burst into tears when that was on the radio. He's grown up to be a strangely emotionless man
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 This leads me to think that Stomp genuinely are former dustmen.
