thlcfc93 Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Hi,I'm currently undergoing a Geography and am looking into the varying perceptions of Fairtrade between different ethnic groups for my dissertation. If anybody could take just 1 minute to fill in a very short questionnaire I'd be hugely grateful.http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NNZ65H3Thank you!
Wymsey Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 I'm struggling to select my answers, problem with the system?
thlcfc93 Posted 24 July 2013 Author Posted 24 July 2013 I'm struggling to select my answers, problem with the system? I seem to be getting responses okay from others. Not sure how I could resolve it. Thank you very much for trying though!
Alf Bentley Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Likewise, done, no problems. Put my ethnic origin down as White Irish to help give you a wider range of respondents (usually go for Irish ethnic origin and British nationality, anyway, depending on how the question is phrased)...
Rincewind Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Sorry hard to answer the questions as I have only seen the name recently. Last week in the Lanes open day there was a shop with the FairTrade logos. Can't remember seeing it before. Went in the shop but saw nothing I wanted to buy or else I would have. I shall be on the look out in future though.

Rincewind Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Never meant hard in the way you think. Its a long time since I went down that way. OK I'mm ashamed I never saw the shop before or know little about it I am willing to research and learn.

DennisNedry Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 I'm not sure how many fair trade items I buy because I never look for the label tbh.
MPH Posted 25 July 2013 Posted 25 July 2013 I've entered. we've been waiting for you to 'come out' for a while now....
Rincewind Posted 25 July 2013 Posted 25 July 2013 I'm not sure how many fair trade items I buy because I never look for the label tbh. This is what I meant. I don't think the brand is available where I do my weekly shopping at Sainsbury's or Tesco's for essentials. If there is something that I want and within my budget I would certainly buy their brand over a rival brand at the same price.
BoneDog Posted 25 July 2013 Posted 25 July 2013 we've been waiting for you to 'come out' for a while now.... The day I get aroused by thinking of a mans body is the day I become a hobo, withdraw from society and go and live in some bushes in a field next to a traintrack. Either that or I'd go and see an exorcist, which I think might be a good idea for most gays. I think they could be cured with the help of a good exorcism!
Zingari Posted 25 July 2013 Posted 25 July 2013 Done; I can only ever remember seeing "fair trade" on coffee and bananas , is there much else with it on ?
BoneDog Posted 25 July 2013 Posted 25 July 2013 Bought some Co-op fairtrade bananas today. Just had one and it was ruddy lovely. Great invention from The Magnificent One. Hallelujah

Unless it has moved recently, there is a Fair Trade shop in Silver Street (all stock fair trade - but most is non-essential items, gifts, trinkets etc.) - good quality goods, though most aren't cheap. You can get nice little items there for birthday/Xmas presents. I go to a Sainsbury's Local near me and that stocks certain fair trade lines: e.g. bananas (cheap), tea/coffee, chocolate (not too expensive), not sure what else...
Rincewind Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Saw the Silver Street shop on the recent Lanes Day. As I said I have not been there much recently and may have seen the shop before but not been looking for what they sell. Now I know its there and if finaces improve I will take more notice. I may have bought in Sainsburys without realising. Banas I don't examine labels as much as I should just look at the price.
