If they get those players in they have a good chance of challenging for automatic promotion alongside ourselves.

More likely we'll act as a 12th man for the opposition and drag ourselves down into a tough scrap just to scrape into 6th

They've signed 2 players the close season, both frees from Swansea and Coventry. They finished below us last season and I would argue that probably none of there 1st eleven would get into ours?? Is your reasoning behind this footballing or just love for Powell and a dislike for Pearson?? My personal opinion is that we'll be in the shake up for playoffs
Guest MattP Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Too many dressing room egos no doubt the players are supposedly good but they lack team togetherness and haven't got the fight to do well in the championship they won't know what has hit them. People said that when Newcastle came down Smith, Jonas, Barton, Enrique and Collicini etc, if they win a few games and start to see how far better than everyone else they are they will enjoy it.

My personal opinion is that we'll be in the shake up for playoffs Because they finished strongly and we didn't I would presume... people seem to completely discount anything good we did and ignore anything bad that others did.

Fmfox Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 I don't think we'll finish top 2, but neither do I think we'll finish below 10th. The teams around us might have new players but they have to gel together. We know each other already. How could the same team that finished 6th last year finish near the relegation zone this year?! It's been shown time and time again that you need a solid TEAM to do well in this league. QPR are not a team at the moment unless Harry sorts them out. Forest I think will do well but there's no reason why we can't match them.

tommyh Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 So what do you base our 21st place finish on then? Alot better teams in the league this year and with the squad we have at the moment! Saying that though i also genuinly feel that we are a decent centre half, centre mid and striker off challenging at the top. Depends how nig uses the loan market but if sucessful in filling them 3 positions with players who are going to be good enough to start every game and not be just squad players then the top 2-4 will definatly be in our reach!!
