Brainy Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Did anybody reckon Palace would finish above us last year?
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Did anybody reckon Palace would finish above us last year? Indeed or that Wolves would get relegated. No point asking for justification for predictions in this league, given it's totally unpredictable..

Babylon Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Did anybody reckon Palace would finish above us last year? Any what exactly does that have to do with anything?
Brainy Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Any what exactly does that have to do with anything? Do I really need to explain? At the beginning of last season would you have expected Palace to finish ahead of us?
Babylon Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Do I really need to explain? At the beginning of last season would you have expected Palace to finish ahead of us? No, but again I don't see your point. If someone had posted that last year I would have asked why they thought that. You seem to be suggesting because nobody expected Palace to do well, from here and ever more nobody is allowed to question anyone else's thoughts or predictions. People must have reasons for choosing where they are placing teams, I was asking for his reasoning behind it and nothing more. If there was no reason and he just plucked them from mid air then he is free to say so. If I say I think Leicester will finish 7th, I'm not going to throw a wobbly if someone asks my why. So why are you lot?
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 He doesn't have to justify himself, he could just not reply. But just as he is free to offer his opinion, or free to not reply to me or anyone else, I am free to ask why he thinks that is the case. If I had abused the lad I could understand your point of view, but I merely asked why. Scathing? 1. witheringly scornful; severely critical. "she launched a scathing attack on the governor"synonyms: devastating, extremely critical, blistering, searing, withering, scorching, fierce, ferocious, savage, severe, stinging, biting, cutting, mordant, trenchant, virulent, caustic, vitriolic, scornful, sharp, bitter, harsh, unsparing; I think the most critical thing I said was that I found it dubious, and I only said that when you decided to wade in. Do you not think you maybe over reacting slightly here? I said I found making predictions pointless, hence why I haven't made a prediction for the whole league. I might stretch to where I think we'll finish, but that's about it. Just because I find it pointless making them, doesn't mean I can't discuss other peoples. Any what exactly does that have to do with anything? Nah I think calling it dubious was harsh to be honest so I'll stand by that. You didn't abuse him however your line of questioning had a distinct "why on earth would you say something so silly" tone to it though whether it was intended or not and you can tell the poster you've replied to has taken it that way in their replies to you And it has everything to do with it, it is silly to ask for justification for a championship prediction, it's a silly league, you can't predict it. He could well be right even if it's unlikely. There are a team of badgers on the moon mining for gold, please don't dare to ask me why I think that because I shall be very upset that you question my opinion. That's different as well (and displays a severe level of out of character childishness) that's a statement of fact not a prediction, if you were to tell me that one day there will be a team of badgers on the moon mining for gold, it would be slightly more difficult to argue with you..... Anyway you've put your super defensive passive aggressive hat on and this is now turning into one of those stupid arguments that no one wants to read on here so I'll leave it there.
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 And then you put Leicester 2nd Because it is a prediction, with the squad we have we are capable of finishing second imo obviously we are going to have to be very consistent but I think we will do it, finish 2nd scraping in on the last game of the season against Donny Rovers, pipping the F****t bastards.

Ha ha ha goodness me saying something is "dubious" is now classed as scathing and harsh. Yes, if you believe that then it's best left there. Goodness knows how offended you might get if it carried on.
BoneDog Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 There are a team of badgers on the moon mining for gold. I thought only me and my astronomer mate Terry knew about that.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 I'm going to go by the old clichés of "this season will be tougher than last" and "this is the hardest league to get out of" I'm thereby predicting that every team will draw every match 0-0, there will be no system in place to account for this and as such, no one will be promoted/relegated. Pearson will get lambastard, every referee will be against us, Michael Appleton will make a cameo appearance for every team as manager for 2 games, Billy Davies will have Skype sex with Dominic Heale live on East Midlands Today, Watford will lose another stand but gain another 30 loan signings, Harry Redknapp will make up some bullshit as to why he is leaving QPR, Blackburn will accidentally field 11 chickens during a match
XLM Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 This should be renamed the sky bet bitch thread. Agree. If people feel this strongly about their predictions they should be down the betting shops putting money where their mouths are.
Leicester_Numan Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 How the fcuk can anyone predict our squad to finish in the bottom 6 after last season?!Or any season under Pearson

Guest Col city fan Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Because they have read this forum for the last month, didn't you know we have the worst manager ever to pull on a pair of fox leisure trainers, the worst over paid players you could wish for who all hate the manager and refuse to play for him.A fine example of a sarcastic over-reaction.It MAY just be that some people think we will really struggle this season. They have as much right to suggest that as you who say we won't. Agree or disagree but accept that people might have this view.

I've not grown to hate a club so quickly ever before.
Babylon Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 A fine example of a sarcastic over-reaction. It MAY just be that some people think we will really struggle this season. They have as much right to suggest that as you who say we won't. Agree or disagree but accept that people might have this view. And there is a fine example (again) of someone who can't see a joke when it's slapping them in the face. The sarcastic overreaction was an attempt to clearly highlight that it was meant as such. I even added in "fox leisure trainers" to try and make it perfectly clear. Secondly, even if someone did think that, where the flying slip have I said they can't have their view? I have never EVER said someone can't express their view on here, what I will do though is disagree with them if I want to. So bore off Col.
