MikeyT Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Schmeichel, De Laet, Moore, Morgan Miquel, Schlupp, Drinkwater, King, James, Nugent, Vardy Subs: Whitbread, Dyer, Danns, Bakayogo, Knockaert, Logan, Wood
Ryanw21 Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Good to see Nugent in the team but hope he doesn't miss the birth of his child!
halfpipe Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Hmmm, 3-5-2. Let's see how this goes. C'mon City!
Danizen Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 I swear I've just seen Wood in the crowd at Elland Road.
Ryanw21 Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 I swear I've just seen Wood in the crowd at Elland Road. Weird if he magically ends up on the bench too
kingfox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Quick on the ball again Mikey. Back to 3-5-2 again then, big game for Miquel, dropping Wood after a hat-trick as well is strange to be honest. This is the best formation to play away from home though.
jonthefox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Wood isn't starting. Poor sod, gets a hat trick and then dropped.
lcfc81 Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Sorry to spam, but like me (in general) some people only come on the lcfc part of the sight. Remember to get everyone you know to sign the keep richard iii epetition! http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/39708

Just happened to be on Twitter when Stringer's tweet popped up
AKCJ Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Can't believe he's dropped Wood. What does that say to the lad?
Libertine Dream Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Charlton often play 3 at the back apparently, would have been better to play Woo, Vardy and Nugent if they do today cos 3-5-2 doesnt work against 3 forwards

Stadt Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Hopefully Miquel will fare better than Wes in aerial battles against Kermo
lcfcsnow Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 All the goal scorers from the carlisle game dropped
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Would have played Wood. He may be injured but Vardys and Nuges work rate may be just right for away games.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 EXACTLY the team I said I'd play, and the formation. Me and Nige are on the same wavelength at the moment! (Watch us go and lose now)...

Ryanw21 Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Agree with it being unfair to drop Wood after scoring a hatrick!
MooseBreath Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Ultra-defensive 532 again. Though I suppose Schlupp might add a slightly more attacking tilt. Dropping Wood on the back of a hat-trick is a bizarre decision. Not sure you'll find that in the gentleman's guide to the effective management of confidence-affected footballers. But that's Pearson. My prediction: one nil down after 60 minutes when we realise for the umpteenth time that you can't score goals without trying to attack, at which point we'll switch back to 442, bring on Wood, who scores as we demolish them for the last half hour but can only score once. Leading to the inevitable question of why we didn't just play 442 to begin with.
