Socks Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 whatever formation we play we will lose we have been lucky so far 1-3 to Wigan
Vlad The Impaler Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 What about if the team gets in a huddle around the ball and slowly moves towards the opposition goal. Surley they would have to foul us to get the ball off us? Go with this and I reckon it'll be easy. would it not be obstruction though?
AnotherShitSeason Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 whatever formation we play we will lose we have been lucky so far 1-3 to Wigan I would like to officially commend this poster for his thoroughly bleak outlook.
Monsell1976 Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I think if the seasons matches continue as they have, as in slow to get going, negative, defensive set up, I can see us getting beat quite heavily, 3-0 +, but if we get going early on and play a more positive formation and players I can see us winning it by a goal, I will go 2-1 to us. We cannot sit and invite pressure against a side like Wigan as they will play us of the park, I just hope he sets up 4-4-2 with more attack minded players in, and come out the block flying, and not play shite first half and end up chasing the game second half.
00rawat Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Dont know if anyone knows but how much is it for one adult ticket in the kop for this game?
Ryanw21 Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 kasper de laet morgan moore bakayogo knockaert hammond king dyer vardy nugent not going to bother naming the bench but i'd like to see hopper on there or/and some other u21 player as i think they deserve a chance, also i think it's very likely we'll play 442 as we are at home. They do deserve a chance I agree but maybe against a not so difficult opponent
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I think people are being pretty positive about the outcome of this game (myself included). This may be a little blinkered.. Wigan are a strong side at this level and its gonna be the toughest test yet I think. McManaman is back apparently. Little tit though he appears to be, he is a good player. Looking forward to the challenge.
JimmyRovers Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Blackburn fan coming in peace here, hoping that a few forum members might be able to help me out. Ahead of the game next Tuesday I’m just doing a quick pre-match analysis. I’ve done my research on a very interesting LCFC History, going all the way back to Leicester Fosse, through to administration and present day. Thoroughly enjoyed it actually, and amazing to see what the club went through in the early Mandaric days. Six managers in one year culminating in Holloway and relegation! I have a new found respect for Leicester fans, having never really studied your history before! We’ve also shared an amazing amount of footballers, particularly since 1989 or so. List below for anyone interested. Mike Newell, David Speedie, Keith Gillepie, Paul Dickov, Paul Gallagher, Ben Marshall, DJ Campbell, , Jason Wilcox, Tim Flowers, Robbie Savage, Bruno Berner, Paul Gallagher, Alan Birchenall, Neill Danns, Billy Mckinlay, Marcus Bent, Craig Hignett, John Curtis, Nathan Blake, Callum Davidson, Nils Eric Johansson, Yakubu, Simon Grayson, Steve Agnew. Anyway, I seek if possible a behind enemy lines view as it were. If anyone would fancy answering the following questions I’d be really grateful. The info will be only shown in a new thread on www.brfcs.com. Questions below, cheers! 1) Leicester have had a very challenging last decade or so including administration, relegation to league one, and play-off heartbreak in the Championship. How do you view the current stability at the club regarding owners and management (particularly Nigel Pearson)? Does the club now appear to be moving forward? 2) What were your pre-season expectations for the side and how do you feel the side have performed in the opening five games? 3) Obviously one game sticks in the memory for most Rovers fans when we think about past Leicester matches. Do you have any vivid memories of past clashes between Leicester and Blackburn? 4) Which members of the Leicester side should we be watching out for on Tuesday night? 5) Having recently signed Ben Marshall, Blackburn fans are eager to see how he performs at Ewood. How do you rate him and do you feel Leicester got a good deal in £1m. 6) Give us your prediction for Tuesday.

MooseBreath Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 If Pearson sticks with his 802 then I can see a heavy defeat, maybe even a five or six'er, nobody will be able to say it hasn't been on the cards. If we go 433 then we'll lose two or three nil. If we play 442 with actual attack minded wingers in knocky and dyer from the start then we've got a chance of scoring once or twice and if we're solid at the back we might even win. Sadly I think Pearson is totally blind to the constant failure of his formation 'experimentation' and he'll choose option one. Prediction: 0-6
JimmyRovers Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 TBH I think you should a new thread about if you want more replies. Exactly what I though but unfortunately I'm being told I can't start a new thread. Probably cause I've only just signed up i guess? Mods might be able to help me?

Obviously, I can't see it being 6 but if Pearson does play his new formation tomorrow we will score nothing and get nothing.

Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 September 2013 Posted 13 September 2013 I tell what we never do, we never predict the oppositions team sheet! Because we're the famous Leicester City and we don't care about anyone else!
MPH Posted 13 September 2013 Posted 13 September 2013 The season starts with this game for me. No excuses about the formation, we have the defensive midfielder we all knew we needed and we are at home against tough opposition so a win is needed as evidence for our promotion aspirations to be taken seriously. As an aside, now we have the DM, im wondering if big Nige is tempted to start knocky in the middle and at the top end of a triangle middle 3?
BoneDog Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 2-2 with my confident head on. Will be delighted if we can get a win against these.
Aus Fox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Kasper RDL Big Wed Moore Konch Hammond King Drinkwater Vardy Nugent Schluup Bench: Logan, knockeart, Miquel, Cain, Dyer, Whitbread, wood They poses a lot of threat down the wings so would rather have 4 at the back and the experience of Konch, Hammond sitting and will take care of Malony sitting in the hole for them, allowing King more freedom, Vardy and Schluup attacking from the wings and Nugent to bang them in. 3-1 city Nugent 2 king for us, a header from a corner in the first 10 mins for them

Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 I think he'll go with 3 in midfield because that's what Wigan will do and NP seems keen on working that into his formations he plays Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Moore - Konchesky King - Hammond - Drinkwater Nugent Wood - Vardy Subs - Logan, Miquel, Bakayogo, Danns, Dyer, Knockaert, Schlupp
Callabinho Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 They have been far from convincing themselves so far, routine day at the office for me!
