THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Can't make it on Saturday, I'm having a party.
bigneville Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 One thing for sure is there will be a midfield 3 for this game. Wigan still like to keep hold of the ball, and the winner of this game will win the midfield battle. They have also played 3-6-1 in there last couple of games. With James suspended, this will mean a Hammond start. What I can't decide is if the 3 will be at centre half or centre forward. I suspect Wigan will try and be unchanged after beating Florist 2-1. However, they have lost McCarthy but he should be replaced by Nick Powell. Fortune could play up front on his own again, which for me, means we should be looking to play 4 at the back. Probably De Laet, Moore, Morgan & Schlupp. We will need to get their tricky players working backwards so I'm hoping we play a front 3, and the likes of Maloney, Beausejour & Jordi Gomez will have to do more defending. Wigans weakness comes in their back-line so attack may be the best form of defence. However, NP will not over commit bodies forward. This is why I think Vardy & Nugent will do a lot of defensive running on Saturday and the midfield will not over commit. However, as mentioned, the key battle is in the middle of the park, and it could be a long day if we start in a 4-4-2. So with this in mind, I'd go. Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Schlupp Hammond Drinkwater King Nugent Vardy Wood
Deucalion Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Formation: 10 - 0 - 0. Score: 0 - 10. The negative badger faced moron will ban our players from passing forwards in an attempt to get a 0-0 draw which will backfire. We will end up on a slide which ends up with us seeing Hinckley United as our bigger neighbours. The Thais will get fed up and sell the whole of Leicester to France. Then we will be inundated with snails...SNAILS !! Or we might win. We'll win probably. (Still being norty )
lestajigs Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Can't make it on Saturday, I'm having a party. What kind of party?
AnotherShitSeason Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Score: Prediction 2-4 to Wigan, (i think Pearson's negative tactics will just suit Wigan), if we can play Wigan's game by going all out attack then we can win this, as we've seen Wigan struggle against attack minded teams. What is this 'all out attack' thing you speak of?
Leicester_Numan Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 Hardly played them before but we've never beaten them. http://www.footymad.net/head_to_head/leicester_city/vs/wigan_athletic/index.shtml 2-1 win
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 What kind of party? Obviously a party in my mouth. And everyone's coming!
Tedders Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 on paper this is looking a tough game.. But as we know in this league that means sod all! i just want to see us play with abit more of an attacking mind and at the higher tempo that we know we are capable of. No reason why we can't do these.
smudgerfox Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 Team last time we played them at home (2005) Teams: Leicester City - Walker, Dabizas, McCarthy, Dublin, Maybury, Tiatto (Moore 80), Williams, Gudjonsson, Gillespie (Kenton 68), Connolly, De Vries Unused subs - Nalis, Wilcox, Hirschfeld And people complain about today's team
Corky Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 I'm actually fairly confident (for once). 2-1 win.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 4-4-2 Dyer and Knocky to start Hammond and King/James I can (just) see us winning (2-1)
seenitall Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 I had our leader down for a sacking after the Blackpool game before the season started so I think we'll lose this and the next 2. But we'll probably draw and beat Blackburn or vice versa (hope its the former as I might make a rare appearance at the King Power stadium next Tuesday)
Kitchandro Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 Hardly played them before but we've never beaten them. http://www.footymad.net/head_to_head/leicester_city/vs/wigan_athletic/index.shtml 2-1 win So, if we score on Saturday it will be our first goal ever against Wigan?
justfoxes Posted 11 September 2013 Posted 11 September 2013 A cheeky 2-1 win for us Vardy and big wes to score and the ref to score for Wigan by getting in the way and then giving a shit decision about the ball crossing the line when it clearly didn't and giving away 10 yellow cards to city then sending Shaky off to the stands for telling him he looked fat in his refs kit when of course he called him a fat useless bastard and that he should be wearing a wigan kit and then questioning his weight and parentage !! Typical ref for a city game really !! Rant over ! Just a thought really but If that didn't happen we win 2-1 and we get a decent ref for a change !!
Number 6 Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I want this: Kasper De laet Moore Morgan Schlupp King James Nugent Knockaert Vardy Wood I think we'll get: Kasper Moore Morgan Miquel Konch Hammond King James Nugent Wood Vardy Hoping we nick a 1-0 win but think they'll score so 1-1.

Wakeyfox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 What about if the team gets in a huddle around the ball and slowly moves towards the opposition goal. Surley they would have to foul us to get the ball off us? Go with this and I reckon it'll be easy.
foxfanazer Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Kasper De Laet Morgan Moore Schlupp King Hammond Knockaert Drinkwater Vardy Nuge 1-0 city
Lasty Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Kasper RDL Moore Morgan Koncheskey Knockaert Hammond King Dyer Vardy Nugent Definitely this. We should go 4-4-2 and get at them, especially as it's at home. When we play on the front foot with this formation we look class.
