Soar Fox Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmXDgg9G7E8 Sponsor's dream. What league do you think they were in when he was having them interviews.
Beliall Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Possibly because the home gk jersey is the same colour as wigans away kit. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 I've never known a goalkeeper wear the teams away strip. He wore it in the second half v monaco too
Dan Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Coyle seems to read from the same hymn sheet as Dave Jones at Wednesday. Everyone's fault but themselves and their team's. Yep agreed actually. It really is pathetic how any manager can use the referee (especially when he didn't really make any massively controversial decision, IMO) as an excuse for losing a game 2-0. Fair enough if you've had a legit goal ruled out in the 93rd minute or something, but that just strikes me as panicking. Coyle looking very much like a one club wonder. Awful for Bolton and a weak start at Wigan to say the least.
Bert Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Maybe, if nugent hadn't double bluffed him. The problem with the tatic is nugent pretty much knows which way he has got to run, changing momentum is very difficult and thus Carson has to run to cover the other side or risk looking like an idiot and not moving. Tend to agree. Carson moved back central when Nugent began his run up so most of his weight was on his left side and then he had to quickly dive to his right. Not easy.
Jace Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 I thought it was a good tactic by Carson leaves the striker a tough decision and added pressure would like to see Joe Hart try it when we are in the World Cup knockout stages next year in a penalty shootout, lucky Nugents penalty was spot on

On a stage like the world cup though I'm not so sure, Hart would get slaughtered if it didn't work

Guest MattP Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Love ti Saturday. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed and looked forward to watching us play as much as I do now. Young, hungry, working hard and a few local products. Generally a good recipe for a football team.
