Awkward moment when the complete chicken nugget sat behind you starts shouting at Pearson to stop hiding on the bench and get off his arse and sort the team out. He never caught on even after 90 minutes. Bellend

I was thinking during the game, how long it'd be before there was a thread on here noting the fact Pearson wasn't on the touchline and jumping to conclusions/creating rumours

Infact I still wouldn't be surprised if one appears.

What did people think on the possible penalty for Wigan in the first half? Moore on Fortune.

Sat in SK1 and thought we got away with it a bit. Seemed to push him over, not stonewall but any means but my first reaction was that it should've been given.

Was going away from goal, looked more like it was a dive or he just went down rather than an intentional shove to me

There was a shove and I have seen them given. However their guy went down very easy and was always looking for it. I would have been pissed off if it had been awarded tbh.

Good win for us, but I have to admit Wigan were not the team I thought they were. On paper they have one of the best squads in the Championship but based on their performance today, they will struggle to bounce back to the PL.

Was much better than at charlton, we went at Wigan today opened up when went forward and looked like we could score and solid at the back and kasper didn't have much to do from what can remember apart from save on stroke of half time.

Be interesting to see what Hammond will offer once settled and gets games under his belt.

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle:

"We got the rough end of two decisions. It was a stonewall penalty when Fortune was fouled, then Vardy has got on the wrong side of Beausejour and it's not a penalty.

lol

Knew Coyle would get all teary about those decisions.

I did think they should've had a penalty but stonewall? Blatant? No. Ours clearly was however, tripped him up from behind when driving forward on goal - no doubt about it.

This man's bias is very irritating, I just don't take him seriously anymore. What will it take for him to say fair enough, that was a penalty for the other team or fair enough, our player's wild lunge was worthy of a red card.

Good solid professional performance. Wigan are no mugs and have a lot of quality in midfield and at the back, up front maybe a little questionable but the pedigree of their strikers wasn't to be underestimated, Moore in particular and Morgan were outstanding at dealing with them.

Felt that there weren't any underperformers today, sure Nugent put a few wide as did Knockeart with his chance but the quality of the moves to create the chances was encouraging and the thought behind the pass every time instead of hit and hope was pleasing to see.

Carry on like this and we wont go far wrong this season, good start!

Sat in SK4 right behind it. One that could have been given but it was more a coming together of the two players and Fortune lost his balance and fell over. It's a contact sport after all...

Great team performance today, has the makings of a promotion winning outfit.

Three outstanding players for me, vardy Moore and king, kings work rate was immense and his runs into the box should have resulted in more goals if the other players saw them.

Only one slight criticism, we seem scared to shoot and when we do they are often non effective, more practice required

Came to the game today expecting a difficult game against a good side.

Turned out to be the exact opposite. Wigan were absolutely shite, not what I expected at all. They had hardly a shot on goal. Struggle to string passes together and were poor in attack.

Not taking anything away from our boys, we were professional and totally dominant. Loved seeing us dominate an entire game.

Wigan will go nowhere this season based on that performance.

What the fcuk is Youngy on about on the radio????

Saying Wes was our worst player on the pitch.

Tool

Hes spot on.

Morgan didnt play very well today. I know some people wont like that, but he really didnt.

Dont mind though - the less we rely on two or three standout performers, the better.

We made a demoted PL side packed with decent players look bang average today. The whole team played very well, kasper some v smart saves when needed, rarely troubled though,Liam"one of our own" Moore is just getting better and better RDL & Konch v good, Wes....well just Wes! Drinks & Kingy solid, Knocky showed some flair & creativity we've been missing, Lloydy had some threats, Nuge looking more like back to his best, Jamie Vardy....take a bow son again you ran the line and channels brilliant a right fkn hanful. Delighted with todays 4-4-2 performance :chant:

Owen Coyle has to be one of the worst managers in football. He's got a squad that is full of quality in depth for this league, and so far this season they have looked nothing but bang average. They look a shell of the side that was in the Premiership last season and they haven't even lost that many players. They looked sharper when he brought Mcmanaman, Powell and McClean on but he seems to have sucked out the creative and positive style they were known for under Martinez. Take nothing away from our lads we absolutely smashed them in every facet of the game but I think every Leicester fan was surprised, and even the players were surprised at how bad Wigan played today.

My missus said Moore would become a beast of a player when we saw him at Kettering pre season under Sven. Seems she was right, again.

Agree with most but would say they looked better than "bang average" against Forest and Barnsley.

Overall team performance superb! Fans were excellent tbf, thought we deserved the 3pts throughout the match! Whole team was wonderful today but go to give the MOTM to Liam Moore! #HesOneOfOurOwn

This was a good solid 90 minute performance, both defending and attacking was top notch and for me nobody had a bad game. Though we could have easily hammered these, the amount of chances we missed was staggering, this is a sign we need a striker. Both Vardy & Nugent are good but there not going to bang it into the net. Nugent scored of course, but that was from the spot!

Anyway my man of match was Liam Moore, you've heard it from me first but that lad will be in an England shirt by the 2016 European Championships. Tell you what Wigan looked disappointing, they've got some cracking players but there being misused by negative tactics. An attacking manager would get them playing in the right way and they would have caused us serious problems.

Well done all round, next up Blackburn!
