StanSP Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 EVERYONE AT THE CLUB WHO HAS A SAY IN NEW CONTRACTS NEEDS TO GET THIS DONE. SHARPISH. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24116828 Leicester City captain Wes Morgan insists he is happy at the club and would like a new deal when his current contract expires in the summer of 2014. The defender's former club Nottingham Forest made at least two bids to sign him in the summer transfer window. But Morgan told BBC Radio Leicester: "The window is closed now so there will be no more speculation. "I'm happy. The the manager has shown me nothing but love. It would be nice to be offered a contract." Morgan added: "There was a lot of speculation. But I am just here to focus on my job and do what I do best which is play football for this club. I can just concentrate on my football." Forest were understood to have offered about £1.5m to re-sign the defender they sold to the Foxes in January 2012. But City boss Nigel Pearson has always maintained his stance that Morgan was not for sale and would like him to extend his stay. "It's good if the players are saying the right thing at the right time," Pearson said. "Our skipper is very, very important to us so hopefully we can do something there [about a new contract]."
Ashley Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 YES! Love this get Kasper to sign a new one too whilst you're at it!
GingerrrFox Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Like the Andy King interview (where Stringer put him on the spot about staying "for his entire career") Stringer pressured Wes into the answer. What's he gonna say really? "Yeah I like being captain but I'm out of contract in the summer and I'm off mate".
Dan Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Get it fvcking done. Love to silence the Forest arseholes who think they're signing him on a free in the summer (again).
MPH Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 We ain't got no money Wes Oh we'll find the money to show some love to big Wes.... Im sure of that? Overpaid stars with the combined skill of a bucket & spade? I doubt it!
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Few important details missing there like how much money he wants paying and how long he wants, I'm quite sure Cristiano Ronaldo would welcome a contract at Leicester if we doubled his wages and put him on a contract until he was 41.
yorkie1999 Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 You can see how journalists start stories and rumours off. Stringer "Wes, would you like a new contract?" Wes "yes i would welcome a new contract", he's not going to say no is he. Stringer "Nigel, Wes wants a new contract!" Nigel "I'm glad to here it" Stringer on monday night " Listen in later to here the big story of the week concerning Wes Morgan and his new contract demands"
StanSP Posted 17 September 2013 Author Posted 17 September 2013 Bloody hell, some people are so pessimistic and negative. Constantly looking for a negative slant on news, even good news like this.. He's said he'd welcome a new deal (regardless of what questions he was asked) and therefore the club should be chomping at the bit to get everything done to sign it. Look at the impact he has had since we signed him and look at how he is helping Moore develop. It's only a good thing that he's said these words. Lighten up, people!
SeCrEt FoX Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 http://m.nottinghampost.com/#!/articles/news/article/19804440 Hope this works^^ Just read this, seems the Florist fans aint bothered. Look at some of their comments. Edit: Damn you link!!! http://m.nottinghampost.com/#!/articles/news/article/19804440 Edit: why wont it work!!
Jace Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 If we don't go up would be crutial to hold onto him already prepared that we will lose Kasper on a free
Guest MattP Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Assuming he isn't demanding ridiculous money it's a no brainer.
