No To Hull Tigers

Apologies to all those who have already read this in the other thread but I was worried it wasn't visible enough.

Feel free to take the piss. After all that is one of the reasons English football fans is the best in the world.

However, just remember. once one domino falls the rest will follow. If the footballing world had idly sat back and shrugged when MK Dons was formed it may have become the norm. As it was it was made know in no uncertain way that it was the sort of thing that should never happen again. This is not just a fight for Hull City A.F.C fans. This is a fight for fans of all British footballs teams. This should not be allowed to become the norm. The fans should have the final say on what their club is called. If this is allowed to happen to Hull City A.F.C then what next? Leicester Foxes? Cardiff Dragons? Watford Hornets?

If you are against the idea of Football teams being turned into nothing more than a business then make a small gesture by joining this group. The more support from other Clubs we get then the stronger the campaign will be. There will be opportunities in the future to contribute in some small way.

Do it for the good of all Football

Was watching Soccer Saturday must've been a few weeks back when Cardiff played Hull , they interviewed both the chairman and it magnified how little clue they had about the culture of the game I felt.

Best of luck 'ull fans.

I thought the world did idly stand by and shrug when the MK Dons were formed. :dunno:

All the best with avoiding the name changing - after all there's only one great sporting team named the Tigers.

I hope the fans do more than a petition.

Like a huge organised mauling?

A shame people are taking the piss really, I'm sure most would be up in arms if Top said that City was a 'lousy identity' and we were to be renamed Leicester Foxes.

Christ, 90% of fans opposed a name change that actually had something to do with our past when we came out of administration.

I wish Hull City fans all the best with this campaign, this to me is more grave than the Cardiff situation.

Thank you to everybody who has Liked, Followed and Signed so far. It really does add weight to the Campaign having supporters of other clubs on board.

To be fair I think what makes us great is that we can take the piss (because that's what we do to everybody) AND sign the petition because we think it's a complete bastard of a thing that they're intending to do to their club.

I should put this in the Britain a tribute thread :D

would a rose by any other name not smell as sweet?

Easy, mate. It's Hull.

I think you have to be a bit trade unionist about these sort of things.

If the worst does happen, the Hull fans need to steadfastly refuse to refer to the club by it's new name and refuse to buy any merch bearing the new name.

Cardiff could easily have done this by just only wearing blue at games, but they rolled over a bit too easy for my liking.
