Zaid Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 we need him back for Burnley was is not a good RB we also need liam moore back at CB
foxfanazer Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Will be a big lift getting him back in the side imo. RDL on the right and Moore and Wes in the middle looked very good earlier in the season
Fox92 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'd personally like to revert back to Moore at RB and a CB partnership of Morgan and Miquel. It's balanced as well, with Miquel being left sided and Moore is a better defender than De Laet.

It's balanced as well, with Miquel being left sided and Moore is a better defender than De Laet. Its all well and good being able to defend well but as a full-back you need to be able to get forward and offer width, something Moore doesnt really do that well. With De laet we looked a far more attacking and exciting team to watch and attacked teams with pace from both flanks.

Their left side have to be wary of him bombing up thus eliminating some of the oppositions attacking threat.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Can't help but feel our best back 4 is: De Laet, Moore, Morgan, Konch. He'll never revert back to that now though, as Wasilewski seems to have to play and now Miquel's in the side don't think he'll get dropped.
Johnny Cash Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Moore - Wes - Was - Konch Rdl - Drinkwater - King - Dyer Knockeart Wood

Completely agree with this Miquel might offer more balance, but Morgan seems to play better alongside Moore. Also,I feel we need to stick with 442 home and away. I know we need a plan B if things are not going well but lets start with a system that gives us the best chance of being positive.
Munshi Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Well admit it, which one you would go and tell Big Was that he's been dropped.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'd keep Was in but play him at CB if RDL is fit
Tielemans63 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I love Ritchie, in my opinion he's one of our most consistent performers and we've really missed him. The sooner he's back in the side the better.
cuddly ken Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I love Ritchie, in my opinion he's one of our most consistent performers and we've really missed him. The sooner he's back in the side the better. Is this the same RDL that everyone wanted dropping not so long ago? We must have great rehab at the club, as according to many on here he's become a top class RB whilst he's been out!

We must have great rehab at the club, as according to many on here he's become a top class RB whilst he's been out! I've never wanted to see him dropped and I've always said that IMHO he's one of the top few RB's in the league. Frankly, I can't get my head around the amount of stick he gets. Yes, sometimes his defending isn't the best but he offers more than most full backs at Champ level. Also, when he and Knocky are on it then we can be devastating down that right side.My opinion of him has always been consistent.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I can't remember anyone ever slating De Laet? All I've seen is he's great going forward and lacks a bit in defence which is true. But no doubt he's out best choice RB and causes a threat on the right.
Stadt Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 RDL isn't even that bad defensively, usually most opposition attacks come from Koncheskey's side.
Danno Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 RDL Morgan Moore Konchesky Can't help but think De Laet is bad as people are making out. Most of the goals down his side are because Morgan never bothers to cover him, but of course he cannot be criticised on here.
Zaid Posted 13 December 2013 Author Posted 13 December 2013 lets all face it RDL is betther than wasyl and we need that pace down the right!
Candidcamera Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 Pleased to have him back and a return to form from the back 4 would be nice. If we get promotion Richie definitely a 1st rate player IMO.
GingerrrFox Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 RDL, Wasyl, Miquel, Konchesky That's what I''m predicting for tomorrow.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 Completely agree with this Miquel might offer more balance, but Morgan seems to play better alongside Moore. You sure are on the dark side, 442 not that I disagree
Uncle Monty Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 Kasper has just posted a pic on twitter of his jersey, de laet's is next to it.
Bryn Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Really upped his game since coming back from injury?
