_Fatboyslow_ Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 At least you have stood up and acknowledge it's gone tits up, so I for one am happy to give you credit, it may well be that the player was using us any way.
Bert Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Mehhh he was here last week visiting the club with his agent and I was told it was all very positive regarding him signing for us. Seems the lure of Mick McCarthy and some of his old team mates has won him over at Ipswich, plus I imagine they are paying him more. In future I'll keep my mouth shut. Can't get them all right, things change quickly in football.
Uncle Monty Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Yep always love any info Me too, but I hate it when itk people get so self righteous when they get it wrong. They act like spoilt kids, it's a football forum where the majority of people like to moan if they don't want the backlash just don't say anything.
formidable1 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Can't get them all right, things change quickly in football. So can supposed the hierachy with the itk brigade.

I'm happy enough for people to have a pop, I rarely say much on transfers because things change quickly and usually just comment when deals are done but I was pretty confident he was joining us in this case from what I was told which is why I said he was signing. Would have liked to have had him here anyway as I think he could have added nicely to our squad.

I wouldn't have been that disappointed if Chris Wood wasn't injured, but when I think about that and the amount of chances Nugent and Vardy are missing, kind of frightens me.
sylofox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He's signing. I don't normaly have a go at ITK's but that look's a done deal to me. Then a week later nothing. Then Ginger said it was down to finances oh and other clubs where involved. Then today says he was told last week they had talks and it was promising. Now it seems he's driving a tractor. He was never signing all he ever did was talk to us. Ginger fox was looking for the glory that never was. Never knocked an ITK b4 as I take it some is shite and most is done with best intentions and yes things go wrong. In Gingers case he made it sound a cert then in his own words told us it never was at all.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 In Gingers case he made it sound a cert then in his own words told us it never was at all. It's his first offence and I am sure he has learnt from it.
GingerrrFox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 To be fair I got a message saying it was a done deal and then another message saying that financials had been a stumbling block but still expect him to sign beginning of next week. Ipswich have come in and can pay him more. However he's been there since yesterday and still not signed yet so read into that what you will. The only reason I said he was signing was because I genuinely thought he was. Makes no odds anyway unless something changes over the next few days I'll still be wrong.
VLC86 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Can't get them all right, things change quickly in football. Unless them things are Jimmy Kebe in the changing rooms at the training ground
Dickov22 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Unless them things are Jimmy Kebe in the changing rooms at the training ground But he was. As was Billy Sharp. Then they both changed their minds
Bert Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Unless them things are Jimmy Kebe in the changing rooms at the training groundWell done.... Stick to talking about what you know (not a lot it seems) rather than what you don't know.
VLC86 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Well done.... Stick to talking about what you know (not a lot it seems) rather than what you don't know. I don't know what you mean, I am genuinely concerned for poor Jimmy as its been about 3 years since he arrived at the training ground. Maybe he forgot his Y fronts or something?

Soar Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Unless them things are Jimmy Kebe in the changing rooms at the training ground You do know players can change their minds or get better offers at any time don't you. Steve Sidwell had a medical at Wolves and had been handed training gear. He then said he was nipping out for lunch and went to sign for Fulham instead.
Babylon Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 But he was. As was Billy Sharp. Then they both changed their minds Did Sharp rip up the contract "he signed" that allowed him to play one more game for Donny to say goodbye? Sometimes people are right, sometimes things change and they are wrong... Other times they take a flyer to try and look good.

Whoever they are clearly knows everything.

Babylon Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 And sometimes some people are so far up their own backside they think they're right all the time Ha ha still touchy Bert, just admit you were telling big fat lies!!! You saying you never said that?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 So who was responsible for the Manyard saga
Bert Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Ha ha still touchy Bert, just admit you were telling big fat lies!!! You saying you never said that?Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying For the record when it's come to lcfc stuff I've only ever done a wind up once. Sharp wasn't. Was told what I'd heard and relayed it in good faith. Copious amounts of times I've said so but still people think they know better than myself over the matter.

It's best to know nothing apart from Gallys agent and where he lives. Boy must he be fed up with sales appointments by now. teach him to promise me playoff tickets

Then when it transpires the info did not materialise or things changed (that happens a lot in football) people round on them and get abusive. Not just people who impart the info that need to contemplate I feel.
