THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I'd have nutted down the back his trousers when he turned his back. By the time that man gets home he's going to have a pretty dirty pair of g stars
mmfoxuk Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 You do get d*ckheads like him unfortunately. sorry you had the bad experience. To be fair you did well and were the bigger man and walked away fair play to ya. I'd have just grabbed him and launched him down the steps. I'm white and I hate racism especially in football. Im here to support my club, you are too, I don't care who you are or what you look like we are here to support 1 team. we are one big LCFC family. (However, if I wer you I would report it to the club it cant go unpunished)
RumbleFox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Like someone else said, this needs to be reported to the club and processed through the relative channels by the OP or left alone and moved on from. Nothing worse than mob mentality vigilante talk and posting seat nubers, we are better than that. This guy was in the wrong but we don't want to join him down there by being cvnts. Rumble. X
Bettsj2 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Shame the people around you left their balls at home and didnt serve him up to the stewards or cops there and then.
Jakemoore Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Complain to the club! Get him kicked out. He's not welcome at the KP.
shade Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Does it REALLY need explaining to you that he used the person's skin colour in the context of an insult? I mean really? yes it does. people often use adjectives, especially if it's to quantify something different to them, "you tall twa*" or "you big fuc*er", it doesn't necessarily imply negativity.he is definitely an idiot though, I can't stand aggressive people, just not necessarily racist (but probably is).
StanSP Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 yes it does. people often use adjectives, especially if it's to quantify something different to them, "you tall twa*" or "you big fuc*er", it doesn't necessarily imply negativity. he is definitely an idiot though, I can't stand aggressive people, just not necessarily racist (but probably is). But why does skin colour have to come in to it? If you're a cvnt, you're a cvnt. The colour of your skin does not make you a cvnt.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Why don't you give this a go K1Fox? You can even remain anonymous but at least the club will be aware that there is a problem and can act on it. http://www.kickitout.org/kio/incident-report.php

1964FOX Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Please, please report this idiot to the police. He is the reason a lot of people will not go to football matches. I accept you are not overly bothered about it but many would be and it keeps them away. I would be happy to facilitate the report being done, this sort of behaviour is just totally unacceptable and should be dealt with.

Not quite sure what you're getting at but it sounds a bit disingenuous to me. The fact that the last word is an insult does change the connotation of the adjective before it. Remarking that somebody is tall as you say is not necessarily negative, but calling somebody a "tall tw*t", to use your example, clearly changes the way "tall" is being used. When someone insults someone with the word "c*nt", I think you'd have to work quite hard to demonstrate that the rest of phrase was no more than a list of descriptive terms that have nothing to do with the view that the person is a "c*nt".
Guest Bilo Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Do it through the proper channels, it'll hurt the **** a lot more than twatting him and getting yourself banned.
Raj Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 [email protected] email Jim direct...tell him time and where abouts it happened exactly...cctv will sort this tw@t out

I see no difference between a commentator calling knockaert something like "tricky French wizard" and an opposition fan calling him a "diving French twa*", just describing him.
Haydos Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I see no difference between a commentator calling knockaert something like "tricky French wizard" and an opposition fan calling him a "diving French twa*", just describing him. Because one is just a a description and has no malice. The same as "tricky little wizard" would be.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Totally out of order and shouldn't be tolerated, but why would you need to have more people with you to do anything? By what you say sound like he was by himself as well, you shouldn't need a mob with you before you do anything stnd up for yourself nd these people will back down, A nice thought, but that may not have happened. It could have escalated, and become more serious. The guy was out of order, and the matter should be reported to the club, I have had to deal with a number of racist incidents, and the shock of it happening for the first time, is the norm. It is difficult for the victim to come to terms with abuse on the first occasion, whatever colour they may be. Report it to the club now, is my advice, and get them to check the footage. The club is responsible for getting rid of these scum .bags. It is very unpleasant, and. the perpetrators need to be dealt with
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I see no difference between a commentator calling knockaert something like "tricky French wizard" and an opposition fan calling him a "diving French twa*", just describing him. I don't think you really believe this and I doubt you behave as if it is true. There is a lot more to language than you are implying and context really does change the meaning or implication of a word. In the examples you mentioned, "French" on its own simply describes someone's nationality which has no intrinsic relevance to the situation. So it relies on other things being synonymous with "French" to have any meaning. So in the "tricky French Wizard" phrase, the fact that the word "French" is surrounded by "tricky" and "wizard" implies that the sentence is a complimentary one - how odd it would be if "French" was inserted as an incidental characteristic and completely unrelated to the words in the rest of the sentence (honestly, who actually speaks English like that?) "French" in that sentence implies other characteristics that match the positive connotations of the rest of the phrase, like being a talented footballer of the ilk that France has produced for many years, being cool and nonchalant on the ball etc. The phrase "diving French tw*t" is very different - "French" is surrounded by words which can only be negative, and any reasonable person would take "French" to be taken as a negative remark in that context - synonymous with cheating, foul-play, or cowardliness. Do not pretend that you don't speak and understand English like the rest of us - you are being dishonest or you are using language in a way that nobody else does. Now personally neither of those phrases bothers me in the slightest but that doesn't change the fact that I think you're being a bit disingenuous in saying that the word "c*nt" doesn't change the connotations of the word "black" that appeared before it. I am certain you know there is a difference.

I know what you mean, but using the word black surely doesn't automatically make the sentiment racist? if an Asian calls me a white cun*, I don't take offence from being called white, only from being called a ****. the only way you can know if the word is racist is if you know the perception attached to it by the person using it. I could call someone a "black twa*" but if I don't view blacks negatively, how am I using the word derogatorily?

Why bring colour into it at all.

Whether you say 'black c*nt,' 'white c*nt,' 'fat c*nt,' 'gay c*nt' or whatever other type of cvnt, it's fairly clear you're using any of those adjectives as part of that insult. I'd argue that claiming otherwise is just being obtuse.

I'd argue that claiming otherwise is just being obtuse. not really, because as human beings we view stimulus and categorise it. one of the first things you notice about someone is physical appearance, if you use an adjective, off the cuff, in the heat of the moment, doesn't make it racist. I'm not being obtuse I just don't agree referencing skin colour has to be negative.
Harry - LCFC Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 not really, because as human beings we view stimulus and categorise it. one of the first things you notice about someone is physical appearance, if you use an adjective, off the cuff, in the heat of the moment, doesn't make it racist. Do you think he was motivated by a desire to be informative or was there some other reason for him being so descriptive in his choice of words?
Voll Blau Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 This is about the only time I reckon it's acceptable to grass up fellow fans. Hope the racist **** gets everything he deserves.
shade Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 So why do you think he used the word 'black' when insulting him? Do you think he was motivated by a desire to be informative or was there some other reason for him being so descriptive in his choice of words? it singles the insulted person out as different, not necessarily positively or negatively, you clever bastar*, you posh di*k, you fat fuc*, you small twa*, are all insults you would use if you weren't particularly clever, posh, fat or small.
Bettsj2 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 it singles the insulted person out as different, not necessarily positively or negatively, you clever bastar*, you posh di*k, you fat fuc*, you small twa*, are all insults you would use if you weren't particularly clever, posh, fat or small. Trying to rationalise the insult is a bit ridiculous. From the way you're forming your replies, you come across as having a brain and are able to think in an intelligent way. Assuming that i'm correct and you are intelligent, you're letting yourself down if you think that including the word 'black' is purely descriptive and has no racist intent. I doubt very much if the person involved wanted to insult a white person, he would say 'you white ****'. Lets be realistic.
