Racist T*** in K block

Like many have said, report him to the club.

I assume you attend matches on a regular basis and always sit in that area.

Could be that he tries the same thing again at the next match.

At least then the club would be aware and look out for him and hopefully have him banned for good.

Can't do with racism, good luck to you and hopefully this twat is dealt with appropriately.

I know what you mean, but using the word black surely doesn't automatically make the sentiment racist? if an Asian calls me a white cun*, I don't take offence from being called white, only from being called a ****.

the only way you can know if the word is racist is if you know the perception attached to it by the person using it. I could call someone a "black twa*" but if I don't view blacks negatively, how am I using the word derogatorily?

Well I didn't say it made him a racist (I actually agree with you that it's not possible to make that assumption) but I do take issue with the idea that words used in the middle of an insulting phrase can be divorced from the inherently insulting part and just be entirely descriptive. If I called an obese man who had no hair and struggled with his reading an illiterate, bald, overweight w*nker, would you suggest that I should only be apologetic for calling him a "w*nker"? Have I not inherently made insults out of the other 3 things even though none of them are inherently insulting on their own? If I'd have said "You illiterate, bald, overweight person!" would you suggest that I had suitably absolved myself of any wrongdoing?

EDITED: I say "inherently" too much but I am leaving it there as a lesson to future me - stop saying inherently!

Yeah but what you lot are missing is usually the muppets who insult people pick on what they see as negatives. So when someone goes 'you black ....' its usually means the guys racist and sees the way to get to the guy by using that.

'lil ....' or 'fat ....' etc etc all seen in society as bad things.

I doubt someone would go 'you handsome .....' or 'you tanned '...' or 'you muscular ....' or 'you tall ....' Because being tall, dark handsome and built are trates that are seen as 'good' so it would be silly to pick on those, so they pick on people with issues that are wildy discriminated against - gender, race, sexuality, disability or even height, size or intimidation factor - things that arnt seen as discrimations but should be as there just as bad.

Simply put, everyone is classing this guy as a racist, but I see it as ignorance and the real reason is because he is 'heightist/sizeist' so he picks on someone who he feels he can..I guarentee he'd act all inocent if a 6ft 5 built like a tank black man squared up to him.

What don't you understand. Shade?

This isn't about YOUR usage of adjectives and your understanding of them, this is about the man who was using them and what his intentions were.

Nobody wants this a**hole at our club. Hopefully you verify his seat and report him and I hope to god he gets banned. Hopefully give him something to think about and maybe help his son! Although a man of that age being that narrow minded it'll probably increase his obvious racism. Good luck.

Really sorry to hear you had to go through that and am glad by the support that has been shown on here towards you.

I would be really interested to hear what happens as he really should be banned especially if the club are already aware of him.

I ll happily chip in to refund the twat s season ticket so he can have no complaints

Thanks for the support shown on here. Just shows what I already know, that most city fans aren't racist c**** and are accommodating and with the times so to speak. Iv been to countless aways, been a sth for 5 years and have never experienced any abuse, so I know this is an isolated incident and that it bears no reflection on the overall fan base.

Iv sent off a complaint to kick it out who will get in touch with the club and FA and get back to me apparently and I will personally contact the club later on. Thanks for the support once again. Leicester till we die.

it singles the insulted person out as different, not necessarily positively or negatively, you clever bastar*, you posh di*k, you fat fuc*, you small twa*, are all insults you would use if you weren't particularly clever, posh, fat or small.

You have argued your point well, but you are wrong.

When you chant "You fat bastard!" at someone, what are you singling out? The fact that he is fat and giving him abuse for that reason, you have no knowledge of the marital status of his parents.

So if you call someone a black cvnt, you are doing the same thing, singling them out because of their race, now there are exceptions such as.

"That cvnt just hit me!"

"Which cvnt?"

"That black cvnt", not racist as you are using it as a distinguishing characteristic.

Otherwise to call someone a black cvnt is abusing someone based on skin colour.

You are right that calling someone a fat cvnt or a ginger cvnt is the same thing, in that you are using a physical characteristic to insult them, the difference is racism and using someone's skin colour as an insult is a criminal offence and should not be tolerated.

Whether you agree with that or not is up to you, if you thank that sizism and redheadaphobia should be treated as severely as racism, or if you think that racism should be downgraded to "banter", is your choice. But what happened to the OP is racism, pure and simple, not by my definition but as defined by legal precedent.

Can I just make it clear-was anyone standing up and/or singing too loudly at the same time? If so, the stewards were presumably much too busy to focus on this piece of trivia...

(genuinely, what was the steward reaction, if any?)

I'm not convinced an opinion can be wrong, my opinion is that the man is vermin, but not necessarily racist. In my opinion using a word like ni***r, coo* or pak* is racism, there isn't a grey area, you have used a word which is insulting somebody based on their race. If he is definitely a racist, and was very angry, why wouldn't you pull one of those words out of your arsenal of insults?

You're angry, very angry by the sound of it, you turn around and want to insult someone (in a split-second) based on the fact that their race is offensive to you, would you honestly use the word "black", not one of the aforementioned words? I don't even want to get in to the discussion of whether a fact can be an insult, if you are fat, ginger, small, tall, black, white, british, pakistani, then you are whatever they say you are, if you weren't then why would they say you are.

It is my opinion that the world is flat. See, my opinion is wrong.

Like I said, it is not my opinion you are disagreeing with, it is the law. If they could have proved John Terry called Anton Ferdinand a black cvnt, he would have had a criminal conviction.

It's embarrassing that this pond life is still found in football grounds around the country.

This isn't a racist incident but I came across an incredibly unpleasant man at Brighton who unfortunately was sat behind me,

Already reeling from a poor first half display going in 2-0 down with an atmosphere as flat as a pancake, there was a half time event around the missing persons' charity and I heard the following:

'Oh god not this, I'll be slitting my f**king wrists soon'

'No one gives a f**k about this, put some football on'

As a woman on the pitch was reduced to tears talking about her teenage son, he utters:

'There's a reason he left home you know'

'You ate everything love - that's why he's gone'

I am slightly ashamed to admit that I said nothing along with many others, partly out of fear that he might be massive.  Turned out to be some grumpy old git.  I'm not in favour of having thought police, you can think stupid things when you're angry or frustrated, but keep them to yourself, no one was forcing him to listen.

he shouldn't need to be refunded... he racially abused someone! be lucky if the lad doesn't take him to court. Shocking from one of our own fans

Yes but that is an opinion about something factual that can be quantified and verified, this is an opinion based on interpretation and semantics. very different. The law means nothing in this context (whether someone is actually racist - not whether the laws determine they are).

So it's ok to say "that black c*nt" so long as someone has asked you "which c*nt" first ?

What if the victim was savvy enough to know what question was coming before it was asked and decided to put the adjective in first ? would that make it a racist remark again?

This is fookin ludicrous  :xmaslaugh:

You can argue he isn't a racist, but, by all commonly held definitions, he used racist language, that is not a matter of opinion.

The point is in that example you are using it to identify someone to a third party for the purposes of clarity, so if he said to someone that black cvnt stole my phone, he is not necessarily being racist, although it is highly probable, and is arguably only using the term black to identify someone.

Calling someone a black cvnt to their face is racist. Does using the word black change the meaning of the sentence? If it didn't then there would be no purpose in saying it when you can just call someone a cvnt.

I doubt very much if the person involved wanted to insult a white person, he would say 'you white ****'.

Can an FT cracker test this out please. Go into town and stare at a fellow honky. When they say 'wot u lookin at m8', reply with 'you, you white c*&t'. I'm curious to see if it causes offence.

After the game today walking down the side of seats next to the rail as I do every game, a 40,50 year old guy suddenly turns around to me and goes push me again and il throw you down the stand. I goes what? He goes push me again and watch what I do you black cun*. I said you what mate I haven't even touched you, so he pushed me forward shouting push me again and watch you cu**. That's the first time Iv ever experienced any sort of racial abuse and I'm not even black I'm Asian but from fellow lcfc fans it's disgraceful tbh. Was by myself at that point otherwise would have retaliated. Bet he wouldn't have said that if there was more of us.

using adjectives is standard language, especially during periods of emotion.
