Exactly, he lost his chance to get pole at Monaco knowing full well that pole usually equals a win in Monaco... it is very tense between the only two drivers who can realistically win the championship. Any other driver wouldn't be smiling after what happened...

Amin Posted 25 May 2014 Author Posted 25 May 2014 I don't think it is feasible for Hamilton to get ahead during the pitstops because Rosberg will be given the better strategy. Hamilton's best chance, imo, is to jump him at the start or overtake him in the first few laps before Rosberg gets into a rythm.

ramboacdc Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 starting on pole in monaco is not as much of a straight win as it can be at other circuits. monaco will spit you out if you lose concentration for just one second. if rosberg is to be believed he did so yesterday in qualifying and went off the run off causing hamilton to get 2nd. bloody evil circuit but makes for a great race.

Only Hamilton in 2008 managed to win it when not on pole in those last 10 seasons..

Plus it is likely Hamilton will be on the faster tyre towards the end, like Rosberg was to give him a chance of winning, albeit overtaking is near impossible at Minaco but I wouldn't put anything beyond Hamilton....
