The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 100% Massa's fault. Don't know why I just figured i'd be as blind as you usually are. If it was "100% Massa's fault" then I'm sure he would have been penalised rather than Perez. But of course you know more than the stewards and I'm blind.
Brainy Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 but of course the stewards have never harshly given or handed out an incorrect penalty have they
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 I suggest you watch it again, it's quite clear Perez drops the pace in front of Massa causing the collision. There is literally nothing Massa could have done to prevent it
Brainy Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 you don't get it But in all seriousness Massa's camp were well aware Perez had brake problems, why would Massa be so far up Perez' backside near a braking zone like that when he knew Perez would have to break earlier than him?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 He broke 5 metres into the corner ffs, also from what I'm aware they managed to fix the problems he was experiencing with the braking, meaning he could brake normally. Which is why the penalty has been dished out. I'm just happy Massa is alright, was a nasty crash.
Brainy Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Whether they fixed the problems or not Perez's tyres were a darn sight older than Massa's.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Still doesn't give him the right to directly brake infront of someone so far away from the braking point. If you're going to do it, atleast make way. This isn't the first time Thuggio has done this. I found Massa's comments interesting, I'm in agreement with him in the fact that a 5 grid penalty isn't enough.
Brainy Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 what so because your tyres are shot and there's someone behind you'd suggest he's better off just heading straight for the wall ahead of him? Jesus christ.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 I said make way, rather than causing a collision. I know you're trying to annoy me so I'll leave it here.
Amin Posted 9 June 2014 Author Posted 9 June 2014 At first it looked like Massa's fault, but on Perez's onboard you can see that he lets his car drift towards the inside line right at the point where Massa would've been pulling out for the overtake.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 What are you on about, it was Massa's fault 100%
Brainy Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 What are you on about, it was Massa's fault 100% What are you on about, it was Massa's fault 100% can't take what you give out?
anotherharboroughfox Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Massa's fault? Perez clearly moves across the racetrack, which he is entitled to do, but he massively misjudged how close Massa was.
Fox in the North Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 I think it speaks volumes that Force India and Perez have barely said anything about the incident.
kingcarr21 Posted 16 June 2014 Posted 16 June 2014 F1 legend Michael Schumacher 'out of coma' champion Michael Schumacher has left hospital in Grenoble and is no longer in a coma, his family says. The 45-year-old German will continue his rehabilitation at an undisclosed location, they said in a statement. Schumacher was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a severe head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps on 29 December. His family thanked people who had sent messages of support, saying: "We are sure it helped him." They also praised the "excellent job" of medical staff at the hospital in Grenoble, in south-east France. Doctors had kept the seven-time champion in a coma to help reduce swelling in his brain. "Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore," Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a statement on behalf of his family on Monday. "For the future we ask for understanding that his further rehabilitation will take place away from the public eye," she said, without specifying where Schumacher had been taken to. Relatives have previously warned that "it was clear from the start that this will be a long and hard fight for Michael". Investigators probing the accident said Schumacher had been going at the speed of "a very good skier" at the time of his crash in the resort of Meribel. He had been skiing off-piste when he fell and hit a rock, investigators said. Schumacher retired from racing in 2012 after a 19-year career. He won two titles with Benetton, in 1994 and 1995, before switching to Ferrari in 1996 and going on to win five straight titles from 2000 Excellent news
iamafox Posted 16 June 2014 Posted 16 June 2014 Pleased to hear this news. Would love to see him back in F1 in another capacity.

The extent of the damage must be massive - hope any rehab can be effective in some way.

FoxesAreBlue Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Fingers crossed - would love to see him step out into a track in front of fans again one day.
isaidno Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Police are investigating how a completely unqualified man in a totally unsuitable car was able to endanger lives by driving onto a track during a high speed motorsport event. The man, identified by officers as Pastor Maldonado of Maracay, Venezuela, was seen on the track during the Australian, Malaysian, Bahraini, Chinese, Spanish, Monaco and Canadian Grand Prix. ‘This young man was driving a vehicle that clearly could not match the speed of the top flight racing cars on the track at the time,’ said police spokesman Ken Eveninall of the police. ‘Furthermore, the man himself was completely unqualified to drive on a motor racing track and his erratic behaviour posed a great danger to those professional drivers who were on the circuit at the time.’ Race organisers say they have held a separate investigation into how this potentially lethal incident was allowed to happen and say they are ‘satisfied’ with the amount of cash they have discovered.
isaidno Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Looking forward to Austria this weekend. Used to like the track , and most of the races there were exciting .
