Amin Posted 31 January 2014 Author Share Posted 31 January 2014 The Renault engine teams are in deep shit. Renault themselves have admitted that they've got a big problem that they can't identify on their dyno. This may be the year to bet against Vettel. A lot of money has gone on Button , down to 10/1. Impossible to tell after 1 test
Asha Posted 6 February 2014 Share Posted 6 February 2014 Should be exciting with Red Bull struggling. This is why double points races at the end of the season are a joke though, especially if there's three of them, as it gives Red Bull more of a cushion. They can be shit for a while and win the doubles (they usually win at Abu Dhabi and Brazil anyway) and they'll probably still take it. Anyway, if McLaren are back in contention and Lotus can keep their shit together we're in for an almighty Championship.

isaidno Posted 10 February 2014 Share Posted 10 February 2014 I was on a hybrid technology training course last week , and the assessor thinks the engines will be really unreliable . Too much power going through a 1600 engine
ADK Posted 11 February 2014 Share Posted 11 February 2014 Surely it won't be any worse than it was in the 80's though? I believe the power is still less than it was and fault testing technology has improved massively. Might see a few more failures especially to begin with though. Hoping for an exciting season, it really is a shame we've still got things like the mickey mouse double points idea though.

Jimmy Posted 19 February 2014 Share Posted 19 February 2014 and to further prove his point there is this video which sums up perfectly why Vettel is so unpopular, and not in a Schumacher is so dominant way either, he's babied by the team, he would never allow someone like Kimi, Alonso, Lewis or even Button as his team mate as they could and would beat him regularly... Its more electric power added, which in turn adds weight and has big reliability issues. The nose has had to be dramatically redesigned amongst other body changes. Every team has had to rip up the blueprint and start again, with not much time to test. This could go to any team or driver, its impossible to predict. Alonso, Raikkonen and Hamilton have all asked for, and rejected, team orders in the past. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Legend_in_blue Posted 21 February 2014 Share Posted 21 February 2014 The sound of the engines is pretty non existant. What else are they going to do to take the racing out of f1? Standing by Maggots will never be the same again

Standing by Maggots will never be the same again I was thinking they could stick loud speakers on the back to make the engine noises so you get the full effect...
