EnglishOxide Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 What surprised me the most was how Lee Jobber approached the meeting. He nailed it when he said "the drum shouldnt start songs" I'm more surprised people dislike him tbh. If ever people try to get a chant going he keeps quiet and tries to let things run their course. For chants that should last longer that are dying out he gets on the drum to try and keep it going too. Not only this but he can take stick from the away fans and is often seen chatting to them after the game. Genuinely nice bloke by all accounts who is unfairly made a scapegoat for the shambles that L1 has become (mainly people there for the atmosphere but not to contribute).
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 They aren't speaking on behalf of you, only people who have joined them. Union FS are speaking on behalf of Union FS. In fairness, they do sound a welcoming bunch. They're publicising meetings and posting minutes of meetings online, so it's all open to the fans. If ever you do want to go to one of their meetings, I think they'd make you feel welcome. I wasn't moaning though it did sound that way I know. I'm happy to be an interested outsider looking in so i don't have a right to moan even if I wanted. My point was id never heard of union fs til about a week ago. Is that due to my ignorance, or are they a new union recently set up?
jonthefox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Shouldn't we be intimidating the opposition teams not fans...? Exactly. Look at the positioning of singing areas at larger , more famous grounds. No where near the travelling fans.
davieG Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Shouldn't we be intimidating the opposition teams not fans...? This is the way it was when I first started going in the 60s and why unsegregated crowds were not a problem fans just sang to support their team trying to out sing was the name of the game not calling them names.
danlcfc4ever Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 People suggesting others should just move to fill up J3. Its too expensive. Why do you think people chose to stand in N block? Get all of the singers from the KOP and the people standing and singing in N block into SK1 and we have a start. If we are louder and singing more songs than L and K (Which I can guarantee we will) no doubt they will start slowly moving over. The ones who don't will be the ones who just want to constantly swear and shout abuse anyway. Oh bless your precious little ears! Jesus...
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Moshing is all the fun in standing. Have you never gone mental when we've scored and ended up on a completely different row? Everyone moshes after a goal... I've ended up in the changing rooms before As long as people are not pushing and jumping when we have not scored I cannot see a problem really!

LCFC FOX Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Oh bless your precious little ears! Jesus... its a game of football, you're there to support your team. What's the point in going if all you do is shout abuse at the away fans? I would sooner be singing Leicester city songs as that is what I thought was normal.
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I am completely encouraged by the response, and there is an argument for both 'sides' and the points people have brought up were all discussed before the meeting by the organizers to discuss the topic points as well as in the meeting. The only thing that I would like to see more of, is fans joining the trial, So far I've seen a lot of people willing to join us, and I expect a larger turnout of 'Vocal' fans, But I must stress this. PLEASE be there for the trial game, Do not 'Wait and see' if it takes off... if 300 people 'Wait and see' and 100 people migrate, those 300 people automatically think 'Failure' or 'Not good enough' But it is those 300 we need to stand up and say "I am going to be part of this." That will create the atmosphere, this is not a group of 1000 fans already formed, this is a smaller group asking the fans to join to make a truly memorable area of the ground that we can all be proud of. this will not happen if people 'Wait and see' We need people to be the shepherd, not the sheep. So a personal plea from myself (Who wants this to work for not only the players benefit, but for my personal viewing, We all love a good atmosphere?) The plea is this, Don't worry about moving to SK1 and finding you are surrounded by everyone telling you to sit, whilst seperated from the singers... Don't see that as a risk, If we all say 'Yes' And move together, it will be electric. We need to chant the TEAM not the AWAY FANS! Move with us! be part of something special.
Bert Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Something big is gonna be happening I'm told, what it is I don't know but it sounds exciting.
NathanBlueFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 hold up, so all the fans are coming over to sk1 for the charlton game, and they are asking people who sit there to move?
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Something big is gonna be happening I'm told, what it is I don't know but it sounds exciting. Where do you sit bert? would you join us? I'll buy you a beer LCFC FOX says he will buy everyone that moves to SK1 a pint at half time
C-man Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 hold up, so all the fans are coming over to sk1 for the charlton game, and they are asking people who sit there to move? Where have they asked people to move? There are shed loads of empty seats that need filling.
AndWhat? Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 hold up, so all the fans are coming over to sk1 for the charlton game, and they are asking people who sit there to move? Huh? Have you seen SK1 recently?
Bert Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Where do you sit bert? would you join us? I'll buy you a beer LCFC FOX says he will buy everyone that moves to SK1 a pint at half time L1. I don't know to be fair. Much prefer the view from the side of the stand and there's a nice group of us where we are at the minute. Who knows though, things change. For now I'm happy where I am and I hope this all takes off for the good of the club.
NathanBlueFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 so everyone is going to start moving to the empty section of ski1? behind the screens
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 L1. I don't know to be fair. Much prefer the view from the side of the stand and there's a nice group of us where we are at the minute. cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 so everyone is going to start moving to the empty section of ski1? behind the screens As posted in the minutes, there are only around 100 season ticket holders in sk1, So there is plenty of availability. the whole stand (apart from the sth) is a 'First come first served' basis... If I get a seat in sk1, good for me, if someone who wants too does not get that seat, sorry... It's the same for all Non STH We don't want anyone to move, and we would encourage you to join us in making this atmosphere electric, but there are plenty of spare seats in sk1... and in the future... sk2? sk3? etc etc

Bert Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Half pint then. If you don't migrate within 3 games, it's orange juice. Don't drink mate so orange juice is fine.
Finnaldo Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Did a quick edit while I had some time to waste. Thought you might want to use it.
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Don't drink mate so orange juice is fine. Thought I had you there, Half pint of orange juice this is brilliant news, i sit in sk1 and apart from me and about 20 lads there is no atmosphere at all. are we on about the top of sk1? To be honest, the long term plan is to "Take over" if you like the section, I think I'll be at the top Where do you sit? Did a quick edit while I had some time to waste. Thought you might want to use it. Brilliant mate! Nice one!
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 at the top row near the screens. I assume that is where the general trial will start from the top areas, However as stated the long term plan would be to have a few thousand... So people could go there in confidence that no matter where they sit in sk1 they are in the centre of the atmosphere!
