too much drinking, not enough focus.

32?!?!

In that picture on the link he looks about 52.

I was about to say he looks like an Alchie. lol

Although this isn't uncommon and players slip down league a lot quicker than this, Levi Porter, Oadby Town anyone.

He was absolutely dreadful.

Had he not been home grown he would rated up their with Josh Low, Ryan McGivern and Junior Lewis in most fans eyes.

That said he's a lovely lad and I went to the school as his Mrs, wish them all the best.

I wanted to reply to this thread to clear up some of the outrageous bull that some people have written.

Matt Heath is genuinely one of the nicest, (non-stereotypical football) down to earth blokes I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is a big family guy, him and his wife and their little family live a quiet home life, they've got a little farm (ducks and what not) and generally are one of the nicest couples me and my mrs have ever come across.

He has always been dedicated to his footballing career, doesn't drink, (maybe he used to when he was younger) and has been actively involved in community work with kids and football when he was at Colchester united. Didn't get as many games as he would of liked due to injury and being out of favour but always stood by whatever club he was at and gave 100%.

When his contract was coming to an end with Colchester united, he put his wife's career as a vet first and moved back to their house in York. She now has a great job in a vets in York and is at the college of animal welfare in Leeds I believe. He hoped to sign with a club up that way, got offers from southern clubs, but wanted to be near his family.

Now at harrogate is all on the side of a degree he is currently doing in football coaching as he wants to pursue a career in PE teaching/coaching after football. He has a bright future with Harrogate and they are lucky to have him. He will be great for their team and he is now at home with his family so I wish them well.

A great Leicester born and bred bloke who is still foxes through and through and a great role model for youngsters - more footballers should have his professionality and genuinely honest, decent and down to earth character.

Sorry to ruin your fun, but alas, I am not Matt Heath. My mrs is friends with his sisters. But if you gives you pleasure to believe that he took the time to post then soldier on. I am sure I'm not likely to be reprimanded for impersonation.

That's exactly what Matt Heath would say.

We might know each other!

I don't claim to know any current players but I've known Matt (Paddy as he's known to his mates - bit confusing I know!) for nearly 20 years, we met in the first year at secondary school and have been friends ever since. Haven't seen much of him in the last 5/6 years but take it from me, he's a great lad. He's daft as a brush (he'll tell you that himself!) but a you won't meet a nicer fella. How anyone can label him a bellend i've no idea.

Clear up what?

He was rubbish, that's all people have said. Because he was. I don't think anyone has said anything else.
