Dickov22 Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Nigel 10/10 Totally transformed the club. Give him a contract for god sake
Monsell1976 Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Proud to call everyone of them leicester players tonight, everyone work their socks off for the team, all 10 out of 10, and 10 out of 10 for the manager getting his tactics spot on.
SystonFox Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 I just had a bad ass wank to Vardys back heel
Grewks Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 For me nugent is probably an 8. On his second half performance undoubtedly a 10, but i felt he was fairly average in the first half compared to Vardy who was immense. How Vardy didn't get man of the match i will never know. 1 Goal 2 assists, simple incredible. In fact tonight his touch was premier league quality.
deanolegend1989 Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Vardy tonight was absolutely unbelievable. I always rated him lie Ive said before but tonight he even shocked me. An all round fantastic performance and no doubt in my mind he can play in the Premier League. Hes more than just pace, his touch is better, he can finish and his vision is good as well. Brilliant.
foxfanazer Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 I don't know who to rave about first! Moore Nuge Vardy Drinkwater De Laet (the best I've seen him play) These 5 were out of this world! Moore looked like an experienced centre back tonight. Made me proud to be a city fan. Nugent proved that he is one of the classiest strikers at this level. 10's for those players, 9.9's for the rest

I think tonight was possibly the best all round performance I've seen Nugent have in a Leicester shirt. Vardy was even better. Just great stuff from both of them. Wood also looked sharp and hungry when he came on.
Mack Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Schmeichel 8 - On the few occasions Derby tested him he carried out his duties with the usual professionalism and skill. He was concerned at times that we were not quick enough to get up and out after Derby corners and set pieces and vocalised that in his usual enthusiastic manner. His post match celebrations were superb. de Laet 9.5 - My MOTM. Goal aside he looks 100% fit now and by god does it show. He is up and back tirelessly offering the pace and surge to our right sided attacks. What's equally impressive is his defensive nous and positioning. You'd be delighted by his performance for either, but both added together is just frighteningly good. Morgan 8.5 - Wes is our orchestrator at the back. The organiser and the glue that bonds our solidity in defence. Another outstanding performance in the middle, he's just so consistently good at times you start to take it for granted. Moore 8.5 - Lost Buxton during a corner which lead directly to the deflection off of De Laet for their goal. However forget that, he is by a mile the best partner for Morgan we have, and works so hard with bravery and dedication for our shirt. Unlucky not to score himself with a fierce header from a corner that rattled the bar. Konchesky 8.5 - Of all our back 4 Konchesky is the most underrated by our fans, but on performances like this he shows his huge worth as our left back. Apart from a couple of wayward passes his play tonight both in attack and defence was outstanding. Went off with an injury later on into the second half, with little cover for him within the squad his quick recovery will be important to our continued success. Knockaert 8 - Jinking, skillful, quirky play that only he can bring to our side. He was too eager to shoot at times last night rather than look to play others in, but that aside he gave his usual all energy performance and did not shirk his defensive duties. Whilst no one moment stood out for him tonight his performance was superb. Drinkwater 9 - There was a fair bit of talk prior to this match about Derby's central 3 midfielders and how they could possibly dominate us. In truth the exact opposite happened and Drinky was imperious in his play, gliding around the centre of the park and dominating a lost Derby. The Championship player of the month gave a player of the season performance. James 9 - Powerful, commanding, resolute, striding forward when given the chance and overpowering their midfield 3. OK he missed with an open goal effort early on, however his overall play was just outstanding. Nipping in more eager to the ball than the opposition on so many occasions and on this form his is frightening. Dictated the outcome of the match along with Drinkwater in a manner that would not be out of place in the top flight. Dyer 8.5 - Tore Derby open again and again and again. His pace and work rate have terrified defences for most of the season and last night was no different. Vintage Lloyd. Nugent 9.5 - There was something extra about Nugent tonight. He fought, chased down lost causes and worked tirelessly and that endeavor was responsible for 2 of our goals. I've read rumours that he's close to signing a new contract, and on this evidence something has clicked again with him because this was his best in a City shirt for some time. Vardy 9 - Everything about his effort last night stunk of a goal. He was aggressive, confident, determined, resolute and got his reward with a ruthless finish from a superb Nugent through ball. His pace just terrifies defenders and he in the man who can the Foxes up and out of this league. One word: Lethal. Subs Wood 7 - Needs some game time to blow the cob webs away, worked well after he came on. Schlupp 6 - Came on at left back. Going forward he's quick and has purpose, howener in defence leaves us exposed, and got stripped late on more than once allowing Derby a free cross into the box. He is not the solution if Konchesky stays out inured for any length of time. GTF 6 - Standard GTF 5 minutes. A couple of neat passes but nothing really to report and the game was over by the time he came on. This was another pivotal game in our season. The Christmas period has just been outstanding for anyone who has had the pleasure to see us play, and we are fast growing into a team that is being hailed by all who see it as the best in the league. Derby have shown good form of late, but were blown away last night in every department by a Foxes side that are beginning to couple the opportunities their rapid forward play creates with ruthless finishing. Notable additions to our play last night were the commitment of Nugent and the full fitness of De Laet. Nugent looked eager in his work, chasing down everything tirelessly and his endeavor lead to 2 of our goals. The improvement in his efforts had been noticeable at Millwall recently for me, and if this continues he's in for a tally of 25+ for the season. It's quite clear that De Laet is finally rid of that nasty fracture and infection to his leg. His performance last night was quite simply incredible. OK the goal was superb, but put that aside and just look at his up and back drive on our right. I remember commenting that in the 88th minute and with us 4-1 up he was in the very far corner of the pitch having driven play forward, then was tirelessly battling with a Derby defender to ensure we did not lose out. Just superb. There is a very long way to go in this season yet, and a knock to Konchesky could potentially expose lack of depth in our squad, however you can see that Pearson has forged a unity and drive within our group that can take this band of brothers all the way. It's far from time to count the chickens, but the stats, the form, the belief and what we see before our eyes is looking all so very good.
Fox92 Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Schmeichel 6 - Total control, no fault for the goal. De Laet 8 - Looked like the attacking full back we all know. Strong, fast and causes problems. Good finish! Morgan 8 - Solid Moore 8 - Developing wonderfully and solid again. Konchesky 7.5 Knockaert 7.5 Drinkwater 9 - Dominant. James 8 Dyer 8 - Too much for Wisdom. Nugent 8 - In big games the big players turn up. The people who doubt him, just no. Vardy 9 - Never gives up. Topped off with a great goal, and won a penalty.

Foxymcoxy Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Vardy didn't get any assists? Nugent got 2 goals and 2 assists. What game were you watching?! He won the pen and knocked it to Nugent for his other goal (possibly unintentionally).

The Doctor Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Vardy didn't get any assists? Nugent got 2 goals and 2 assists. What game were you watching?! He won the penalty and set up Nugents other goal...
Guest ttfn Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Schmeichel - 7 De Laet - 9 Morgan - 8 Moore - 8 Konchesky - 8 Knockaert - 8 Drinkwater - 9 James - 9 Dyer - 9 Nugent - 10 Vardy - 9 Can't argue with this really. Not sure Nugent's quite a "10" so I'll give him 9.5
